Yep. But the Williams-Wright fight has to be finalized, too.
Otherwise we'll probably get Winky-Taylor II (and Kessler-Perdomo).

Kessler needs to unify or fight a big american name!
Larsen needs to beat Bute first in order to get to Kessler. I would have put my money on Larsen against Kessler if the fight had taken place five years ago, but not today...

A shame to see that out of names like Fredrik Alvarez, Martin Nielsen, Rudy Markussen, Anders Hugger and Mads Larsen, only Mikkel Kessler made it all the way. What happened to the idea that Markussen should go to Germany like Larsen?

At least it can't be called a step back considering who Mikkel just fought.

I understand why they would make this fight, there's a lot of money to be made for all parts involved.

I almost forgot about that one, he quit against Tatevosyan in Parken. Weird ****...

Perhaps a better promotor, and a lover living standard in Scandinavia could have brought this golden generation further?

    It's Larsen who want's Kessler.
But Kessler has already said that Larsen isn't interesting at this point. He needs a belt before Kessler will fight him.

Palle has been talking a lot of bull**** recently. It's a fight he might earn a lot of money on, but Kessler wants glory and he wants to fight one of the top american guys.

Markussen admitted in a TV interview he threw the fight to spite Palle.

Whatever. All sorts of fights have been "in the works" for Kessler recently. I'll believe it when I see it.

I'd really prefer if Larsen fought Bute. Bute needs to get back on track before rematching Andrade after that near embarrassment and Larsen is no pushover. That would be an okay fight.

It's not a fight Kessler needs on any level.

I think a knockdown is a slight understatement. He was like a drunk man. That would be embarrassing after 12 rounds of largely outboxing an opponent.

All I'm saying is that last round will be fresh in his mind so I don't think rematching Andrade first up would be prudent. Larsen is a guy that could get him back on track.
