I dont think that not even one of those punches Joe threw landed clean on Hopkins.

    Hopkins clearly won this 'exchange'

one punch landed, and it was from Hopkins.

That said, Calzaghe won the fight on my card 114-113.

The entire fight wasn't like this, Calzaghe did land. Not as cleanly as Hopkins throughout most of the rounds, but more than Hopkins, and he got the better of B-Hop in 7 of the rounds IMO.

I'm a massive Hopkins fan, not much so for Calzaghe, but it was a very close fight that he slightly got the better of.

I'll score that exchange a draw. JoeC does land a left hand. Straight after Bhop lands his right hand Joe throws a 3 punch combo. The first punch lands to the body. Also Bhops punch is nothing special either.
lol I think there is prob a lot of other clips that would have made Joe look worse. He defo throws worse slaps during the fight.

It's just a shame that for the rest of this round, Hopkins did nothing but hug. He even ran in from 2 yards away to clinch.

    calzaghe: slap slap slap
    hopkins: counter

imo bhop won because his shots were clear as daylight, especially that right hand that stunned calslap several times

As a matter of perception, or as a matter of fact? I can assure you 200% that the entire fight was actually like that. Hopkins gloves actually touched Calzaghe's head and body more times than vice versa. As you say; Hopkins landed better quality stuff - Hopkins also landed more of it. Did you score it live?

so did calzaghes last punch it endd the exchange as hopkins stopped after that. and considering calzaghe probably initiated every exchange then were lucky there was a fight.

anyway this has been gone over and over again.

the fact is it was a SD for the man in green shorts.

B-Hop nullified almost everything that Calzaghe threw. Even when they show the highlights of the fight when promoting Calzaghe he's not even landing! If B-Hop never tired he would have dominated Calzaghe all night long. You still got to give the fight to Joe though, B-Hop just wasn't throwing enough after the first three.

you cant assure someone 200% about that, the fact is that calzaghe landed the most punches on hopkins than ever!!

then the excuses come out, oh he's 43. So what he's was at the time the linear 175 champ and after he smashed pavlik to pieces. And we all know that apparently according to the USA calzaghe was runnin scared of pavlik!!

Americans can never accept defeat, seriously the fight between the two could go on and on and happen many times and the result would be similar. most boxing journalists and pundits think the same!

now murder me with your comments. I know you will!!!

but hey they are all just opinions!!! Fact is calzaghe won.

Yes, I scored it live. I haven't taken the time to score it again, it's possible that upon review I would see some different things and score it for Hopkins, but while watching it as it happened I gave it to Calzaghe 114-113.
