Hello, boys and girls. I have lost track of my training over the last month due to various ****. Exams finish Jan 29th, 1st Feb I commence all manner of my crazy training as I was doing nicely for a couple months before the silliness in December. I train like this: Mon Wed Fri Boxing Tue Thurs Sat Sun Weights But will cut out Thursday, the accumulated fatigue is too much. So Thurs will be a dreaded REST DAY!!!!! The gym I box out of is highly respected in Manchester and Joe Murray of the Olympic team trained there up until very recently as well as his brother. I have great difficulty keeping up with the conditioning but it does me a great deal of good and will get me fight ready. My goal with boxing is to get my first fight(s) by the summer, by the time this season finishes really. I hope I can achieve this. I also enjoy my weightlifting quite a lot. It is nice to see progressions, that's the difference from boxing, boxing is a long term slog that takes a while to reap the benefits and needs mental strength to keep going on, while weightlifting is like a day off for me compared to boxing, gratification is with the numbers going up. My strength is superior to my endurance mainly because I avoided endurance stuff too much, no more though. Current lifting numbers are, in kg: Deadlift 165+ Squat 125+ Bench 85+ Military Press 65+ DB Rows 50kgx12, 40kgx30 Pullups 15-20 wide-ish grip I put + because those were the last time I checked them. I am quite pleased because since I started trianing seriously a while ago they have progressed nicely and I have lost weight too. I weight 153lbs steady, and am 177cm tall. In a few months when I am hopefully ready for some fighty fighty I will see what weight class would be best suited for me and bulk a bit or lose a bit accordingly. 50 burpees I can do in about 4 minutes or less, I hate distance running but have learnt to dig deep. Especially longer sprints like 800m I despise. So yes, this log will be mainly stagnant for the time being. Good idea for a forum!
Nice one mate :good You're still way ahead of me on everything apart from bench press. How's the boxing going?
Thanks matey. The boxing was going well for 6 weeks then Uni stuff and other stuff came up 3 weeks before I came home for a month, so I'm on a 2month hiatus. Hoping to get my first fight(s) before June. Bench press is a *** exercise, you know this!
It's definitely a *** exercise when you compare it to Olympic lifts, squats, and deadlifts, but I actually enjoy bench press. I'm starting squats again now, I've been avoiding heavy sets for the last few months but I can't do deadlifts with a broken finger so I'm going back to them. **** knows what I can do though, I'd guess 85ish would be my max.
Right. I shall stop being a ***** and just train, train through the pain through the aches and all that ****, things will get better, have to tough out the next few months to get that fitness up so I am comfortable in training and not ****ed after their warmups. I ain't no quitter, I can tough it out, **** all the doubters, that's the whole point, to **** the doubters and earn the only respect that matters, self-respect. Muahahaha! Take it slow, goal for this year is to have my first amateur fight. Bit late on my "schedule" but that schedule was ****ed anyway. Boxing is great, **** all my silly angst about it. I shall overcome!
Shall do burpees every day till I get back to training. Will do 50 for time after every weights day, and work the neck harness after boxing days. Yesterday did 15, 10, 5 burpees and then went to have lunch.

Terrible stitch, I always have to stop running because of breath-restricting stitch when I have to stop. Silly business. Eating / running rhythm, I was always crappy but this is def. better than last year when I was doing this.
Hahaha I didn't, I don't do that regularly. Well, often. **** it, I do. And in reply to RDJ's most sexist comment I'm sure Amy runs more than that -_______-. I'm build for sprints not long distance running, I am a powerful sprinter.
