I don't think so really, Cung Lee is a very talented guy but he would not do well against a finisher like A Silva, maybe if Anderson starts to slip and Cunk peaks but his ages is against him.

Thanks for the kind words. In my defense - I do think there are other fighters aside from Cung Le that stand a good chance at beating Silva - such as Dan Henderson ( on a good night), Palhares, and possibly GSP.

Cung Le vs Anderson Silva would be a dream match without a doubt. Apparently Cung Le really wants that fight as well as he has mentioned it in several interviews. Here's to hoping.

I don't think so. I would take about 3-5 LHWs who I think can beat Anderson. As well as St-Pierre.

 

Le is one of the most overrated mma guys out jmo!! Let him fight some real competetion guys and he wont stand a chance on the ground. All stand up no ground.

 

Cung lacks the power to beat A.Silva, that's a shame, 'cause he has the tools to fight with him on his feet, but he really lacks power to make Silva respect him.

GSP, Palhares, Alves, Maia, Henderson, Griffin, Evans, Machida, Thiago Silva are all people I give a chance to beat A.Silva in the UFC. They would all give Silva problem in some aspect.

 

But with almost all the fighters you mentioned, Silva also has the tools to beat them, and he arguably has the better tools. Except with GSP. But I think GSP won't be big enough at middleweight to dominate and do what he does best. If any one can beat the Spider I think they will come from the LHW division.

Oh and I agree Le doesn't have the power to beat him.

 

yeah Silva has better tools than all of them expect GSP, but they do have chance to beat him , I mean, better than Franklin, or my man Cote.

I know, but wouldnt you want to see a rematch between them? I mean, if I was Silva, I would be ashamed about myself, but I understand that if he want to fight just 5 other fight, let not them waste it with Cote who still has a good future

 

Another fight doesn't really interest me tbh. I think if this happens again, Silva comes to fight, not **** around and Cote takes a beating. And your right if he only has 5 fights left, he sure as hell doesn't want to waste it on Cote, whom I don't think should have been in the cage with him the first place.

Full marks to Cote for trying though. He lasted longer than anyone else, even if Silva was somewhat suspect. He's a bit deluded though. Have you heard some of his interviews? Reckons he was winning the fight or some bull****.

 

Cote always been an arrogant guy and very confident. Its in his nature.
