    Good man. :good

  5. That's great work. When I saw the official (BOGUS) punch stats I couldn't believe them. Yours look far, far more accurate. Nice to know reality supports what I was seeing.

    :boxer= Hopkins

    :wooo = Calzaghe

I wouldn't mind doing this for myself, i don't doubt that your numbers are probably lower for Calzaghe than they should be, but i wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't by much. It was like the many hundreds of clean shots that allegedly landed against Jones, i didn't see most of them.

Nice work. Good to see some of the truth come out about this fight.

    Rematch.

Watch the fight and use my numbers, konaman. I think you'll be impressed. I would not have invested any effort in this unless it was a record we could all stand by. This is painfully (on my part) accurate. When I saw the numbers for the 8th and 9th rounds by Calzaghe I was virtually certain I would be making this thread in contradiction to some of my previous statements - and I would have if it had come down to it. I did this for all of us. It's totally pure.

BTW, FACT; Calzaghe landed alot more actual punches than anyone who has really been in the trenches on either side of the issue could have ever imagined. It was ALOT more than anyone thought.

Why don't you do the same thing for the Williams-Margarito fight?

I ain't trying to bust your balls, but you seem as if you can be objective about things. But as soon as Margarito or Williams' names come up, you and all of the guys I'm cool with in the lounge just seem to change like werewolves or something.

    **** is strange.

I've heard posters wonder why so many people picked Pavlik to beat Hopkins. It's because Joe made Hopkins look so bad, most people thought Bernard had nothing left in the tank. After Hopkins-Calzghe, Rumsfeld was classy about it, but most of the people who thought Hopkins won still figured his days as an elite were over. They'd say enough to make sure Calzaghe always came off a little worse than Hopkins, but in terms of still beating an elite fighter, many thought there was no chance Hopkins was capable of it...to the point where his own trainer publicly pleaded for him not to take the Pavlik fight.

One masterclass later, and the question has to be "why did a slightly younger Hopkins look so much worse if Calzaghe's that overrated?" Just good ol' fashioned bad luck, seeing as how it was sandwiched between clear wins over Tarver, Winky, and Pavlik? Or, maybe Joe deserves some credit for it after all.

It still seems to me that most of those who scored it for Hopkins wanted to look for ways Calzaghe lost this fight rather than ways that Hopkins won it. I've watched it twice, and the first time I came back with Calzaghe by 3, the second time it was Calzaghe by 5 (a one round difference).

I would, Aiken, but the outcome of the Margarito/Williams is not generally controversial. If you recall I did do one round of that fight.

If I'm ever going to do this again I'll need to be paid or on drugs. I had to look at dozens of exchanges 5, 6, 7, 8 times - and this was a fight with little action for the most part. Barrera/Morales I would take 2 days probably..

Funny thing, Rafael, no one seemed to appreciate it.

That takes some real dedication. How long did it take? Damn!

4+ hours nonstop. Absolutely exhausting keeping yourself locked in a state of focus like that. I don't recommend it. It's surgery.

However, anyone who watches the fight with the numbers who has a genuine curiosity about the subject is going to be be dazzled. The effect is extra-ordinary.
