He got knocked out harder than anyone in the history of knocked outedness He got hit so hard he didn't even know he got knocked out
And there are still idiots that argue that fight was stopped prematurely. Because falling flat on your face two times in a row after a single punch is obviously a shitty reason to get counted out
I haven't even clicked the link, but I already know what this is...a very memorable line, and one I always think of whenever I've seen the knockout again.
If Zab had taken the 8 ocount on his knee and then got up he would have been fine. I wouldnt have stopped the fight, but then again, I'm not a ref. Premature in my opinion, but comical nonetheless.
i was pissed off because had judah stayed down for the 8 count he would have continued and he totally outboxed kosta in the 1st
Someone said in another thread once, that is the rule. Down twice by the same punch and it is over. By rule. If that is the rule, the ref had NO choice.
Well altough I believe the stoppage was ok as he waws dancing all over the place,it took Mills Lane 3 fall overs of Berbick before he stopped him in 86 with Tyson.
No. The post I saw indicated that if you get hit by a punch, get up, and touch the canvas again, you would be deemed to be put down by the 'same' punch twice, and by rule, knocked out. I checked the WBA rules and don't see this.
I've never seen this as a rule, but its a pretty good indicator that a fighter is unfit to continue if, when he gets up, he immediately falls to the canvas again. I may be wrong, but I would have thought that it's not a hard and fast rule just an indication that the fighter in question has had enough.
