He thinks Michael Spinks was knocked out by Zab Judah and beaten by Karmazin, so yeah that is a proposterous question

 

SRL almost got knocked out by a drained Donny Lalonde at 168. A prime Calzaghe would beat Ray at 168. P4P I'd go with SRL.

Leonard to small for calzaghe even prime for prime.

 

Though JC is too big for SRL even both at prime, still I could say they wouldn't hurt each other coz similarly they will just slap each other till the end of the match.

 

Close call. Robinson was best at 147 but very good at 160 as well. But again, a same-day weigh in at 160 vs the day-before weigh-in of 168 is a 15-17 lb disadvantage.

The last two in question were a bit off the wall. Both men campaigned at Heavy for a portion of their careers and both were top notch LHWs.

 

Its an undoubted strength of his. Calzaghe's workrate has been outstanding throughout his career and is one of the reasons he is so hard to beat. Its a mighty asset.
It's akin to Margarito's chin being brought up. It enables Margarito to pressure fighters relentlessly.

 

You need... to think... more about... if Joe... Calzaghe... would beat... the best middleweight version of... Sugar... Ray... Robinson...

Calzaghe vs the Leonard that beat Hagler wouldnt be close at all.

Hagler was in decline when Leonard came back, no way does Ray get away with boxing 30 seconds of each round, Joe would be on top of him from the word go, forcing him to work.

Calzaghe UD's Leonard comfortably.

You are implying that he wouldn't. Seriously Cuch, I know you are a Zaghe fan, but I am absolutely stunned at the suggestions you have made on this thread - stunned. You have no concept of how to differentiate between levels of quality at all. Your decisions seem to be made on two premises, (a) weight advantages, (b) the premise that performances achieved in a weak era against weak opposition are a level playing field with different eras, when they obviously aren't.

You really think that someone who punches like Joe Calzaghe could stop someone with the chin, defence, resilience and pure skill and quality of SRL??
