    Do you honestly believe that was anything other than a money decision? Do you seriously think peak Hopkins was scared of a guy who, up until that point, had been taken to an SD by Robin Reid, taken to points by Rick Thornberry and Miguel Angel Jiminez, and whose best wins were over a semi-retired Chris Eubank, and guys like Woodhall and Brewer? You tell me.

    Thanks for all the wonderful advice on how to be a better poster and a better person, but I'm happy just the way I am. I genuinely feel the attitude of Calzaghe's fans is different, and I have been very interested reading the responses from people such as yourself. Mission accomplished.

    I don't understand why Pacman fans feel so threatened by Joe Calzaghe that many of them feel the need to discredit him. I'm Fillipino and a fan of both because I'm a fan of boxing. I hope both guys continue to fight as long as they're physically capable.

    Yawn. Another Calzaghe fan falling over himself in desperation to defend his hero without actually reading what the thread is about. It's about his fans, not discrediting him as a fighter. Do you have an opinion on the singular mentality of his fans, or would you prefer to have a go at me personally?

    i am not british but i am a big joe calzaghe fan. The stats don't lie he is for sure one of the top fighters. i am amazed that people in the US hav a dislike for him, but if he was american all people here for a fact, think the sun shine from his backside

    Joe was in the last fight of his career had beaten everybody, been ducked by almost everybody and wanted a payday. What is wrong with that?
    And Calzaghe couldn't exactly say Jones was crap because he wanted to hype the fight up and make as much money as possible, which is ok if it is fighters like Mayweather doing it. But if Calzaghe does it all the haters jump on him. It is pathetic.

    I feel bad for that it has been THAT LONG since you have been laid. You can pay people for this you know. It might keep your mind off of hating Joe Calzaghe long enough to find something productive to do.

    You missed the point of the thread entirely in your rush to defend Joe - there was no attack on him, this thread is on the subject of his fans and the way they behave on this forum. There was no discredit of him.
