    Very well,

Let it be said then that Lewis was KO'd by Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman, therefore it is a given that he would be beaten by Mike Tyson..

    Happy?

    No.

    The correct answer is

lewis has a shaky chin, but does not have the recovery abilities nor defense to withstand the tyson onslaught. When tyson lands ( which he will) lewis will be hurt and when lewis is hurt, tyson will finish.

We all hate Tyson. I run an anti-Tyson website. T-shirts and merchandise available in the store. I can do you a T-shirt with his face on it and the words "******" underneath.

I can also do you a large poster like the one below for $10.

I see, if Tyson is one and a half year away from his peak we disregard the fight, but when Lewis is a few years away from his, or 35 years old in an other one, those fights are the only ones we look at.

It's fine if you only want to look at the negatives on Lewis' side (McCall I & Rahman I), but then you have to be fair and also consider the Douglas, Holyfield I & II fights for Tyson. Neither of which, by the way, he avenged unlike Lewis.

Avenging losses is absolutely meaningless. They dont make losses go away.

Tell that to Ali who in interviews said that avenging losses is important for his psyche. Dr. Pacheco said Ali wanted Norton more than Frazier after getting his jaw broken in the first fight. To come back and beat a fighter who beat you is extremely important according to Ali.

I do agree with you somewhat such that a loss is a loss is a loss and time only goes forward. However, peace of mind and respect of person says that a better performance the second time around diminishes the effects of the initial loss.

    What is better:

-Lose one sidedly to a fighter you shouldn't lose to.

    Or:

-Lose one sidedly to a fighter you shouldn't lose to, but dominate him in the rematch.

    ?

obviously the second one but think about it it is still a loss and no matter how well you do ina rematch it still goes down as a loss to taht fighter

You know MPG I can't take you seriously - I think you're having a laugh. Do we know you as someone else? You remind me of a few characters (prolly the same one with a number of different aliases) that inhabit this board.

Well, are you someone we know? I hope you're having a laugh because if you're actually being serious with this verbal line of diarrhea you've been spouting...

It's nothing to do with the fact that you see Tyson winning. Nothing wrong with that viewpoint at all. It's your seething Lewis hatred that I don't understand.

No it doesn't erase a loss, that much is true. But to say that its meaningless, is incorrect.

It takes a lot for a fighter to come back from a loss against an opponent who bested him and to be victorious. As much as I like Tyson, he never avenged a single one of his 6 losses, whereas Lewis avenged his only two, and is one of only a handful of fighters who can claim that he defeated every man he ever faced.
