That's exactly it, daredevil. Well said. Of course it's nothing our eyes weren't telling us to begin with. People like yourself were well aware of the reality of the situation.

Grow up. You're "several levels" above no one. Any halfwit could painstakingly examine every second of a fight. Why on earth would you admit to such a practice?

& you should know by now that people will generally reply with the standard "Great post :good." to any old dog**** if they share the same p.o.v.

You hang around every single Calzaghe thread like a bad smell....what's the unhealthy obsession???

I'd say for the record the Roy Jones of Nov '08 looked more capable of actually being competetive than the Dec '08 version of Oscar

Plus you say Hopkins' style gave Calzaghe fits....perhaps it did, but Hopkins certainly did not enjoy that fight either due to Calzaghe's style...works both ways

The people who are piping up in this thread about the punch numbers are the very same people who were dismissing guys for using punch stats to qualify a Bernard Hopkins loss straight after the fight

That said you are still an obnoxious know it all....should you not be doing some more research for your seminal works on the "Top 750,000 Fighters Of The Last 2000 Years" ??

What do you know of my correspondence with the guy that I'm talking to? What do you know of our history?? NOTHING? Right, JACKASS. You're asking why I would make a close examination of a fight? What are you? A ****ing dumb ****? Because it is nescessary, nimrod. What a stupid question.. I'm not an ignorant piece of **** like yourself. There's a legitimate basis for my claims. Not empty lies. Even a ****** could see that the compubox numbers were a complete ****ing joke. Or could you not, ******? The only people denying the FACTS are petty little asses who don't want the truth exposed. Look at the thread, jerk. Look at the content.

You do tend to over use that "I'm levels above you" line when people start to disagree with you

    Compubox versus San Rafael??

    Who wins???

The reason that fights are scored for other things other than just clean punching is because other things matter.

Such as Calzaghe's ability to tire fighters out, his workrate, the fact that he could force Hopkins to fight his fight.

There is no way in real time you could score a fight in anywhere near that manor, you have to score it in real time and also take into account other things other than just clean shots, just like the judges have to.

So what is the point of this new way of scoring fights if it can't be used to score real fights to judge who won there and then and your "levels above" comment to TFFP, aye right because you have time to slow fights down to the rate of watching one per four hours?

I think we all just don't understand his new rules because he's that many levels above us

  11. What is the point of this thread? It's effectively just as accurate as boxrec and just as inaccurate - boxrec apparently counts everything, this counts clean blows (which is subjective to the OP as he decided the criteria for effective scoring). I thought that punch stats do not actually tell the whole story of the fight - as has been said many times in this forum. In that case - sure, based on the criterion laid down by San Rafael - Hopkins won the punch stats, doesnt mean he won the fight.

Jesus Christ - will the day Joe retires be a national day of mourning - should ESB shut down for 24 hours each year, for his fans to miss him, and his detractors to reflect on all his misgivings?

  13. And San - please please never say that about TFFP again - Christ, I nearly burst a vital organ laughing...

TFFP has the class which means he wouldnt ever feel the need to say that to you, or anyone else... Perhaps one day you'll understand what i mean by that...

BULL****, I have never made that statmement before. EVER.

Not that it's anyone else's business, but the issue between myself and the guy I was originally directing that toward has been based on competition and challenge from the very beginning - and not on my part. If you guys knew what the **** you were talking about - nevermind that, anyway.. Here you guys are MAKING **** UP. Tell me, what else do I say? Tell me more BULL****.
