Never said he was a bum or that any good boxer would beat him, only the master boxers, his power was real. But I remember threads such as prime Trinidad vs prime Mayweather and people posting that Tito would knock him out.

I think Calderon is appreciated for his skills on ESB! The man can outbox anybody around his weight!

  7. How is Dawson underrated? He's supposed to be annointed the true best 175lber because he beat a shot tarver less convincingly than a 40+ year old? He's favoured by most here to beat Calzaghe, yet Calzaghe (who takes more **** on this forum than every other fighter in history) is overrated? :|

He beat Johnson and Tarver two guys who beat RJJ and he aint getting no props for these wins, he aint nowhere on p4p lists. Calzaghe is considered the very best, #1 or #2 p4p, Dawson isnt in top 10. Dawson beat Adamek who is the cruiserweigth king right now.

Same for PW who beat Margarito.

Here's my top five anyway; pick it apart at will (no particular order):

    - Roman Gonzalez (the next Ricardo Lopez; at 21 years of age, and with a 22-0 record, 20 KO's, he looks like the dogs danglies already)

    - Rafael Marquez (spoke of as the guy who was beaten twice by Vasquez; people seem to forget that he beat Mark Jonhnson twice and Tim Austin down at BW)

    - Fernando Montiel (on his day he is possibly the best boxer on the planet; the guy moves like water, he is so fluid in his attack; but I can see where the indifference comes from - on his bad days he is BAD)

    - Jose Luis Castillo (His body of work is amazing; his resume is pretty stacked; people talk about MAB, Morales and JMM, but Castillo belongs up in that group - he is at least level with Marquez, and I would actually place him higher)

    - Lucian Bute (after doing a "Kessler" on Andrade for 11 rounds, people seem to remember the last round only, perhaps understandably because it was so dramatic; but he's a very good boxer)

I think ricardo torres may be somewhat underrated, he is a dangerous guy, but to say he is underrated and cotto overrated? I just dont understand the logic there.

    :good

I also think Paul Williams gets underrated by many ( Mostly Euros ) simply because he is American.

The fact that PW is not on most peoples top 10 p4p list but both Margo and Cotto are is baffling to me.. especially if you just watch the guy fight .

I think Kessler is underrated by many because of his lack of resume... if it is true, he has been trying to get the big fights but has trouble doing so.

Jermaine Taylor also gets underrated by many, he beat a more prime Hopkins more convincingly than Calzaghe, and was very competitive against Pavlik twice , who is a stylistic nightmare for JT.. Just watching him in the ring at 168, it is easy to see how much trouble he will give every single guy at 168.

Chris John too! He is quite good
