Well, fighting Verno Phillips doesn't make it... Calling out the man you know can beat you while he's busy (AM has a busy schedule now that he defeated Cotto, giving a rematch and fighting SSM in between) doesn't look very good either. PW should man-up and give a rubbermatch to Quintana , who took him to school for a full 12 rds. of most entertaining boxing. It's more difficult to win most rds. of a 12 round fight than win in 1 rd with a good punch. The guy wasn't even warm yet, I think he really got caught cold, IMO, then again that's not an excuse when you're fighting at that level, it's a good lesson though. A rubbermatch it's in order and CQ , obviously, has shown interest. PW hasn't even mentioned his name anymore, why? Maybe he knows CQ will come prepared this time and take him to another day in scool?! At the very least, this match would make for a good stay-in-shape in-between kind of fight 4 PW.

Paul williams always talks a big game but what big name has he fought recently? I know its always the other guys fought or somebody elses fault. He is living off that maragartio win. He hasn't beaten anybody since that fight.FIghting an old washed up winky wright isn't stepping up imo. I mean what has winky done the last couple years. Paul fighting winkly is equivalent to margarito fighting mosley. Although i would give mosley more of a chance thank winky!

Well to be fair too he has a lot of advantages over Margarito. He can take Margarito's best punch, keep him on the outside and pretty much control the fight being significantly bigger.

So most would favor Williams in a rematch which is why he wants Margarito. Get the rematch while Margarito is hot. But those of us who know better know this dude is really a middleweight. Jr.middle at best.

Dzinziruk is bigger than Tony, faster, more skilled and much more conservative. He'd beat Paul imo and thats why you won't see this fight get signed easily. Dzinziruk is doing the right thing. Pester this dude.

Dzindziruk is a classy fighter, but he has faded a bit over the last couple of months.Probably he will soon be over the hill.
A pity that he hasnt been able to collect any big paychecks fighting good and known names in the ring.
He is one of the fighters who has the potential to be a great champ but who is hardly marketable neither in the states nor in Germany.
Well,he has to blame himself to his lack of name regocnition, too.
He has never tried to learn German nor English, lives in his native Ukraine, and doesnt seem to understand the pro world at all.
Now and then he stays for a short period of time in Germany in order to train under his promoter's coaches in Kohl's home base Hamburg.
A talented fighter who could have been a great fighter if.......if... .
Well, if ifs and ands were pots and pans there'd be no need for tinkers.
    Life is not fair!

I have just finished watching this Dzinziruk dude against Joel Julio which was his most recent bout and I have also read a lot of comments on this thread promoting this dude to fight Williams. Well I dont know if the comments are coming from an unbiased standpoint but I am going to break it down.

Dzinziruk was getting hit by julio and the way I see it I dont think Dzinziruk will not know what to do when Williams starts to mix it up to the head and body, especially the body. I cant even see that fight happening but if it did, I doubt it would go more than 10 rounds because speed kills and somewhere down the line he is going to slow down especially if he keeps eating bodyshots. I think Williams 1st fight against Quintana made him realise that he needed to be more aggressive and ever since that fight he goes in there to get the job done and I cant see this Dzinziruk dude giving Williams any trouble but I would like to see the fight because I am a boxing purist and these fights need to get made. But as we know boxing is all about the money split and finding the money to make these fights happen. I like Dzinziruk, he is a solid fighter but he can be hit and as I said before Speed, bodywork and overall workrate will give Williams either a UD or a TKO before the 10th round.

Verno Phillips had other plans in mind.. Verno didn't have to drop his belt to fight Paul Williams for an interim belt... There was talk of Verno and Vernon unifying belts... Actually Vernon Forrest called Verno out.... That fight could have been made... Even at this stage of the game, Verno is still lurking in the top 10-15.. moreso on the bottom half but none the less, VERY good win for Paul.. Sergiy happens to be on the top half... maybe the very top half... A win over him would be big for Paul in my opinion...

There's a welterweight thats following Paul Williams to 154... His name.......... Joshua Clottey..... Assuming he beats Cintron, Clottey is probably the best available fight out there for him...

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Do you even know how tough it is for anyone to move to another country, especially America? You, think it's just move and start getting fights set up right away. It's not all about BALLS, he'd be moving to another country, which is a very complicated process in itself. They don't hand out Visas these days you know. And the guy is 36-0 he hardly needs to be established. He would need a new promoter, management, and all sorts of other things. It's not like he's going to be spearheading PPV cards if he moved here. Naturally it would make things easier, but him not moving here doesn't have a thing to do with balls.

Lord have mercy, what is this nonsense? Who has he fought recently. Ummmmmmmmm. Antonio Margarito, Carlos Quintana twice, & Verno Phillips. Just because you don't know who Verno Phillips is doesn't mean other's don't. He's a top fighter and was a belt holder. He's damn good, and Williams simply just beat him up for 8 rounds. Yes, he's beaten nobody since that fight, just 2 BELT HOLDERS!

Sergei could pose trouble for Williams... but he is not a very entertaining fighter.
