If both of them are not natural WW, then what is their business fighting at 147? If they are both small at 147, then fight at a lower weight.

There's a couple of answers to your question, first off they are both so talented that they are able to compete at a weight class that they might not belong in. Historically 147 pound weight division has always been where big money fights are at, they both fought at a weight division that's too above them so they can get a fight with Oscar and get their biggest payday. And it would be easier on them both to make weight and have a smoother training camp.

They are not fighting for any belts so let them fight at the optimum weight for both of them.

How many times have Pac fought at 140lbs??
Mayweather will accept it at 140-141lbs to meet halfway. You talk about disadvantages but too blind to see it on both sides. And dont use Pac's fight with dela hoya as evidence of Pac carrying his weight as it has been discredited as DLH just being slow.

doesnt matter whether big fights happen at 147lbs.. it will be big at 140lbs nevertheless. 140-141lbs...meet halfways and sacrifice a little from both camps.

Oh, I see, you want PACMAN to fight your boy at his present weight division. So I guess this is you idea of a fair play....SCUMBAG. That just shows your lack of confidence towards your BOI, DICKHEAD. :hat

It won't be at 147. Pac will never go to 147 again. It has to be below that. He wants 143 or below. Floyd could make 143. Plus, he is the fav to win. So, even at 140, floyd is not at a major disadvantage.

Sorry to be a dickhead but I guess you're just another crazy Pac fanatic out there who thinks he's so awesome yet can't take a full on challenge?? You truly don't have as much confidence in you're man as you should hold. Freddie Roach is the head of this fan club talking big and will be doing the stern negotiations for another desperately needed catchweight just to make a big fight.

Roach lacks confidence in Pac matching up with PBF. DLH fought at 150 in May yet that wouldn't work for team Pacquiao. They wanted any advantage they could get and DLH's overconfidence and love for money got in the way of that. Roach is the one using Floyd's name and trying to get the man to come outta retirement to fight them. Floyd would come outta retirement anyway but he hasn't been calling anyone out in a long time.

Instead they want a ****in catchweight.. If they were no doubt about winning this fight then they would let Floyd come in at the WW limit and be the natural WW that he is :smoke

PAc can't beat Floyd at any weight anyway. If pac thought Husseins left hook had him dazed and almost out with a long count saving his ass...wait until Floyd lands the left hook like the one he landed on Hatton. Pac can't beat Floyd at any weight they fight at. PAc can beat up old Mexicans though can't he lol...

Why can't PAc just be the smaller guy going in to fight the bigger man since he wants to fight these guys? Why a catch weight period? Sugar didn't ask Hagler to meet him at 154. Asking any fighter to fight at a catch weight is phony to me. True champions don't ask for stipulations in weight. Ring size and gloves is more accepted when asking for stipulations, and even that is weak to me. Weight stipulations... that can damage even the best of fighters. Just fight floyd at 147 PAc...your fans don't believe you can win a straight up fight with a superb fighter like Floyd in his prime lol...

I really got to hand it to you, Nallege. You and your double talk are ATG material. When **** suits you, it really does smell like flower to you, Nallege.

You claim Pac can't beat Floyd regardless of weight. Yet you don't want the fight to happen any lower than 147 lbs.

You talk about weight stipulations that "can damage even the best of fighters." You want Pacquiao to be the subject of such disadvantageous stipulation but not Floyd.

You talk about fighting for greatness and puts such burden to Pacquiao, when, if you look between the two, Floyd obviously has more to prove about his greatness. Why? Cause if he has nothing more to prove then why come out of retirement. Hence, if we go by your equation of "greatness", Floyd has to be the one to do "the impossible" which by the way there is no such thing as "impossible" for Floyd cause again according to you, "Pac can't beat Floyd at any weight they fight at."

Given the premise of the thread, if Pacquiao wins over Hatton at 140 lbs., it only shows that he is comfortable fighting at said weight. As such, to dispel such double talk and excuses, and avoid any disadvantage on either party, a catchweight of 144 lbs, IMO, would put both boxers on an even playing field.

The fact is, Floyd is the man (retired) at 147, that is his weight class. Why would he come out of retirement to fight at a lower weight, when he went out on top, undefeated?

If Pac wants talk the talk, then he has to walk the walk and fight at the bigger guy's weight class.

If not, then he'll have to settle for the names below 147 lbs.
