No exact order ! MUHAMMAD ALI RAY ROBINSON WILLIE PEP ROBERTO DURAN RAY LEONARD HENRY ARMSTRONG JOE LOUIS JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ PERNELL WHITAKER FLOYD MAYWEATHER Ps. I took some good advice & went on a youtube + internet rampage in a quest for armstrong footage, it WAS good advice. :good
Armstrong rules. Guys I have you don't have - Sam Langford (#1), Ezzard Charles (#5), Mickey Walker (#9), Bob Fitzimmons (#10)
Get PBF out of the list. No disrespect to your opinion... but the naming of any man, who hasnt unified a division doesnt rate with the legitimates.
OMG...please 1. SSR 2. Henry Armstrong 3. Ali 4. Joe Louis 5. Henry Greb 6. Willie Pep 7. SRL 8. Marciano 9. Monzon 10. Duran 11. Archie Moore 12. MMH 13. Bob Foster 14. Gene Tunney 15. Jack Dempsey 16. Eder Jofre 17. Pascual Perez 18. Sal Sanchez 19. Benny Leonard 20. Lennox Lewis
This is the highest ranking i've ever seen for Dempsey, who didn't fight the best available as a contender, was an inactive chamipon who didn't match his best contenders, and lost his title to an ex-lightheavy.
Dempsey fought everyone he could on his division, the best it was at his time....Herb Golbstein, Bert Sugar, top boxing authorities have them top 10 ATG....I have it top 20..I am very comfortable having him top 20......
My top 10 fighters! 1. Sugar Ray Robinson 2. Lennox Lewis 3. Muhammad Ali 4. Bernard Hopkins 5. Mike Tyson 6. Roy Jones JR 7. Sugar Ray Leonard 8. Pernell Whitaker 9. Thomas Hearns 10. Chris Eubank
No disrespect...but one of the worst lists I've ever seen. I really hope you are kidding..it seems as tho you have forgotten the old timers and going off recent fighters. Chris Eubank shouldn't be in anybody's top 30, nevertheless top 10.
This list changes, but currently my ten would be: 1 - Sugar Ray Robinson 2 - Henry Armstrong 3 - Harry Greb 4 - Willie Pep 5 - Sam Langford 6 - Roberto Duran 7 - Ezzard Charles 8 - Muhammad Ali 9 - Archie Moore 10 - Sandy Saddler I'll admit Saddler is a bit of a personal favourite (realistically he might be just outside the top 10). I've probably left out someone obvious (I'm doing this with a mega hangover to contend with).
sorry man. not kidding, I'm not saying they are the top 10 greatest fighters ever, what I'm saying is that they are MY top 10 fighters.. that I like and no one will have to agree with me, but it's funny you mention that it's the worst list you've ever seen..
The names Mayweather and Chavez stand out as being wrong. Mayweather's resume is just not good enough to justify that. Take a look at a guy like Ezzard Charles resume.
