there is a sense that Erik is the better fighter technically and box the ears off of Arturo, but would he? we all know Erik's tendency and preference to get into wars and both of these guys just loved to. Gatti's left hook or Erik's right hand? pick your poison

I think Erik would beat him up really good.

Gatti by late round ko. He was a monster puncher at 130 look at his kos of Rodriguez and Ruelas. He was not as much of a partier at that stage in his career and he could box fairly well.

i think so too, but Arturo i think was just as strong as Erik here if not stronger. he was definitely a raw fighter, but his left hook would always be a threat throughout the entire fight. as Erik went up in weight, his power diluted, but had enough to still drop fighters like jesus chavez. Gatti was more of a one punch fighter and at 130 it would be interesting how Erik would of taken one of those left hooks. if Erik's pride did take over, i could see him land some uppercuts and bodyshots, while Arturo would load up on his left hooks, but Erik would probably land 3-4 to Arturo's 1-2. i also think Arturo would definitely get caught flush and stunned many times, but because of his heart, he would last the 12 rounds with Erik, whose best weight was 122-126. what i do know for sure is it would of been a hellraiser of a fight. Morales UD12 Gatti

well both could box beautifuly when they wanted to and both had the tendancie to turn there boxing into brawling at any moment but i think erik could to both better.

technically erik is more sound than gatti and as far as im concerned he had a better chin aswell. the only thing is that gatti handled himself well against 140 and 147 pounders were as erik was only competative as high as 130 and was at his best at 122.

so i think if erik used his brain he would out box gatti over 12 rounds but unfortunatly i dont think he could resist getting into slugfest and would be worn down over the championship rounds by the bigger gatti so for me it would be gatti late ko or ud.

but its definatly eriks fight to lose if he boxed for a full 12 rounds i dont think gatti would stand a chance

great fight. if morales stayed disciplined he would systematically beat the **** out of Gatti. however in a trade, which would happen, Gatti would have a great chance. Id take erik Morales in a lopsided fight scoring wise, but one that he took a ton of punishment in, if that makes sense.

Gatti's power is overrated. Pac proved his power at higher weights and he hit Morales with a ton of them, im sure Morales can stand Gatti's punches. Who did Gatti fight at 130-135 remotely as good as Morales? Even just the slightest bit close to being as good. No one, Gatti was embarrasedby pretty much all elite fighters he fought.

Morales UD, he knew how to fight smart when he had to.

Although Gatti was weighing in close to 150 on fight night when he was down that low.

gatti by mid round ko..gatti was too strong at 130 for morales. at that stage of his career he would have eaten the smaller morales for breakfast:lol:

If Morales could handle Gatti`s natural size then he would cruise past Gatti, not sure if he could or not.

If Morales boxed & never got dragged into a war then he would likely make Gatti look foolish.

I go Morales UD - just too big a gap between their skillsets.

Size is a big factor here. Gatti would dwarf Morales, though Erik is the far better fighter. If the size isn't a major issue for Erik to handle, Morales would destroy Gatti over the course of 10 brutal rounds. If the size is a problem, it would be a war that could result in Morales being stopped.

THIS WOULD BE A DREAM, MOUTH WATERING!

its realy tough to call be ima hae to slide to gatti, in a a justified hope that it turns into a war, and gatti lands more of those bombs he carried at 130 to eventualy win by late ko/tko FOR SURE
