    No he's not.

He couldn't even make weight for a Cunningham rematch on Showtime. He has stamina issues. He got beaten fairly and closely by Cunningham in the fight they had. Yes, he stopped Arslan away from home, but who is Arslan. Yeah, he stopped Kelvin Davis good result, but Cunningham and Bell already beat Davis. Beat Braithwaite in a war, but almost lost due to body shots and freak injury.

Good record, dangerous fighter, but I can't agree Jones is better than Adamek, Cunningham, and I thinkj Alexeev would take him next year.

What an awful lot of nonsense. I'm not a fan of either Klitschko, far from it.

Being competetive isn't the same as being better in quality. In quality there is no difference between the average cruiserweight contender and the average heavyweight contender as I pointed out. Infact, Haye being a cruiserweight contender was the best man by a distance. Povetkin, Gomez etc are just as good as the cruiserweight contenders, probably better. Gomez was an awesome cruiserweight. These guys only look worse in the face of dominanace from the Klitschko's.

In quality heavyweight is superior. In a competetive nature cruiserweight is. But then if I put my 5 yr old brother against 5 year old at kindergarten thats competetive too, but at the end of it it still lacks the quality to really get people talking.

I agree that Steve would have won if he would have stuck to the jab, but you said he got his ass kicked. I gave Cunningham the final 3-4 rounds, and atleast one of the knockdowns came when Steve was dominating that round. So i dont see how he got his ass kicked.

I think I said he got his ass handed to him; I was referring more to the fact that he was mentally outmanouevred by Adamek (not the compubox numbers or anything like that). I admit that I over-stated it slightly.

Can't believe some people think HW is more exciting then CW.

Yea, Holyfield-Valuev was a real treat. So was Klitschko - Rahman or Thompson. Toney-Oquendo fight a week or two ago was a stellar as well. :rofl

CW has lots of good potential matchups, while HW has almost none outside of Haye and one of the Klitschkos... and even then it is only because Haye has a big mouth and is doing a good job of hyping the fight... as well as his chances... although unforutnently for him he can't increase those.

Stop this farce of Haye clearing out CW. It's bull****. BULL****.

2 fights do not = cleaning out.

The division isn't great, but it's a fun one to watch.

200 lbs is a very underrated division.

Luckily, after the phenomenal Adamek vs Cunningham fight, it is starting to get its just dues.

No the cruiserweight division just flat out sucks. There is very few good prospects but none of them are making any noise. Some promising prospects like Aaron Williams and Eric Shields (is that his name?) are already disappointing. I mean you have Adamek and Cunningham, but who else?

It is widely accepted fact on ESB--through the course of many previous threads on here as well as the Brit forum--that Calzaghe and Kessler would both get their asses handed to them by any top 10 Cruiserweight.

The size difference is just too big.

Dawson on the hand, has the physical tools--and the skill--to step up and make some noise.

Dawson is small, and could be fighting at middleweight. In fact he was fighting as a middleweight just a short time ago. Dawson only moved up because he always wanted to fight Tarver and Johnson, and has said that he could go back down to middle and supermiddle for the right fights...

Size is over rated, if you cant fight it doesnt really matter how big you are, the guys at cruiserweight arent that good talentwise and it wouldnt be a matter of size if the likes of Dawson, Hopkins and Calzaghe moved up to fight them. They are much better fighters. Dawson has already beatten the top guy there and Hopkins and Calzaghe would do the same.
