    european promoters do
only 1 promoter does not and thats frank warren.
he tries to squeeze every last penny from fights , even if it meens he ****s up his british base.

because of this he has fallen out with virtually every tv company in the uk and his 2 main fighters have left him and the other best uk fighters wont sign for him .

very vindictive as well, he must have lost a lot of money tying up ricky hattons hometown stadium the g mex , just so hatton cannot fight there for 3 years .

Will Taylor enforce the WBC mandatory to challengre Froch?

Not yet. He'll fight Winky in a relatively meaningless fight (compared to their last one at east). Both are bloated and neither will fight as well. Then the winner may go on to fight Froch. (Or the winner could targte the winner of the proposed Pavlik-Abraham fight.)

That hinges on HBO accepting a Froch fight. So Froch must look good in the meantime, maybe blow away one of his leading contenders ala Stieglitz, Murat...Froch is a marketable fighter, he's just come off an excellent little fight with Pascal, and "The Cobra's" time will come.

I dunno why HBO don't want this fight. Taylor is a proven fighter and Froch is on the up as an undefeated legit champ coming off a war. I don't get it. HBO should be ashamed that they are turning down a legit title fight.

Froch does not suck. he is a real tough SOB and a fight between him and Taylor would be very interesting. neither is a #1, but I believe they are evenly matched.

According to another boxing site, one people view a LOT, there is already a purse bid on this fight for next year.

That's a ****ing disgrace, HBO are cutting there own throat's i hope they drown in their own blood.

Boxing is now run by TV executives who don't know the first thing about OUR SPORT. American Boxing is in the toilet right now because of these ****s.

Where the **** are the risk taking promoters, no one is standing up to this ****, they just promote the fights that HBO dictate and line their ****ing pockets with cash while the real fans struggle to pick which PPV miss-match they can afford to watch.

This thread has made me so angry. :fire

**** HBO, **** Golden Boy and **** Taylor vs Wright.

HBO don`t want the Taylor v Froch as Froch is an established supermiddleweight and a champion now with a good chin and power and the way Taylor went down from the wobbly Lacy hitting him,its safer to put him in with Winky Wright instead.I think Froch would knock Taylor out.

Calzaghe vs Taylor would be interesting especially if Taylor gets his A game right.
would be interesting but at what weight would it be at?
Froch on the other hand against Taylor I think should definetly be made to give Froch a bit of world exposure and see how he handles it. I do however think that Froch needs 1 more fight before he fights the likes of Taylor. It's just that if the American public have not heard of Froch then to them its like Taylor fighting a nobody, but come on, if HBO can put on Pavlik vs Gary Lockett then why the hell wont they put on Froch vs Taylor ???????????????????

When I heard that Taylor had shutout Lacy, I felt the same. However, when I saw the fight I realised there is little or no chance. Taylor was lacklustre, looked tired, faded over the 2nd half. If Taylor had managed to put Lacy away when he hurt him early, made a statement, then it could have happened. Now it doesn't s eem realistic, and I think DiBella admitted that fight is a bit over their heads.

Hilarious that Winky has turned down the Taylor fight. Now Taylor can only fight Kessler with the HBO date. Bit too dangerous for Taylor just now, not quite in Kessler's plan either. Time for a new broadcaster maybe. However if fighters like Taylor allow broadcasters to be their paymasters, and in essence their managers, then it;s their own fault.

IMO taylor wants no part of kessler or Froch , his confidence is still at a low after Pavlik spanked him , and the 'super shot' Lacy fight was a poor show. Taylor will stay in the US and wait until a opportunity to fight a weak champion comes along , and use HBO as an excuse. Not impressed at all , just my opinion!
