Better fighter today? Wladimir Klitscko or Ricky Hatton?

As hard as it is for me to say, Wlad is the better fighter. His last lost came in April of 04 and since then he has been completely dominant over his oppenents, other than a tough fight against the heavy hitting Peter in september of 05, where he was brutally floored 3 times and came back to win a close 3 point decision. I believe Wlad has done enough to crack the top 30 Heavyweights of all-time list.

Hatton is a very good fighter and has won his way to the top, and giving P4P champ in Floyd Mayweather, all he could handle for the first 6 rounds, before Mayweather took over and got a big knockout late in the fight.

Wlad is the better fighter now, and has been dominant for some type, something Hatton cant say at this point about himself.

Completely agree. Hattons improved alot this year too. IMO.

 

Hatton gets hit way too often. I wish the guy would jab once in a while to get inside.

If he tries that with Manny he is going to be in trouble.

Wladimir is dominating the better competition overall.

I like both fighters, but Wlad is a better fighter IMO.

 

Wlad is a better fighter. His offence is just as dominating as Hatton, but defensively he is very secure...Hatton just ain't. Wlad's fundamentals are better, with his jab and straighter punching whilst Hatton is always throwing hooks.

 

Hatton: he has a better engine, greater mobility, superior on the inside and has a better chin.

 

Did u watch the mallinaggi fight he did use the jab. I'm going to say hatton but how can you compare and heavyweight to a LWW.

 

Yes I did. I'm glad Ricky won because I can't stand Malignaggi. I like Ricky all together because he seems like someone I'd like to hang out with.

There's times in the fight that he abandoned it tho. Hopefully that won't be the case against Manny.

Wlad throws textbook punches. Sometimes Ricky throws some wide shots.

Yea I do agree with you it is difficult to compare a HW and a Light Welter.
