    Kessler beats both handily.

He is the far superior boxer in every aspect of the game.

    Any other opinion is deluded.

    Facts.

As much as I respect your opinion, this is simply not true. We already discussed about it before, so it doesn't make sense to do it again.

Taylor is a better boxer than Pavlik
Hopkins is a better boxer than Taylor
Cunningham is a better boxer than Adamek
Hopkins is a better boxer than Calzaghe

This list of fights where the better boxer lost is damn near endless.

Who are the A or B+ level guys Arthur has fought? Serious question.

Exactly. And Cal is not that good a boxer, either. His natural style comes out when he faces the best, like it did against Hopkins: swarmer who likes to shoeshine with ineffective, scoring slaps

That's not what happened to Kessler against Calzaghe. Sure he lost, but he made the fight closer than what the scorecards suggests. Pavlik was totally outclassed by Hopkins. Kessler was outhustled by Calzaghe not outclassed...

Kessler woul KO Abraham and Pavlik.
I hate the fact that Hopkins has declared he won´t fight Kessler. Froch goes for Taylor (very good fight) and Bute may fight another Dane, Mads Larsen (bad fight).
That puts Kessler on the sideline for most 2009, defending the title against nohopers.

I'm gonna get flamed by a bunch of euros for this, but here is an interesting point. After the Calzaghe fight, Kessler said; "He spoiled my boxing." That leaves me asking, what would Mikkel do with Pavlik in his face all night? Kelly does not slap, and he normally throws 80+ punches per round with good accuracy. Can Mikkel handle that kind of pressure is the question. At this point people will bring Andrade up, but Pavlik does everything better than Andrade. There are similarities, but KP is at least one level above him.

Spped and smart movement trouble Pavlik, Kessler does not excell in either area. However, Kelly performances best when he can play off an opponents mistakes, and Kessler has very good fundamentals.

In my opinion Pavlik/Kessler is one of the most intriguing match ups in boxing today. I believe that anyone who thinks one guy is going to domnate the other out is just wrong.

One significant but in this respect. Pavlik applies pressure, but doesn't offset his opponents rythm like Calzaghe does.

I'm not too sure on who to put my money on should Kessler and Pavlik meet up. I think Kessler's the better boxer, but Pavlik has heart en masse.

    Kessler UD Abraham

    Pavlik TKO 10 Kessler

    Pavlik TKO 9 Abraham

Kessler lacks the heart needed to beat Pavlik.
The guys has no heart and wont fight until dying in a ring.

you can take the fight outta him

For example current No.1 UK active middleweight Elcock. Eastman is also not exactly a bum. Khoren Gevor is the current No.6 middleweight of the world according to boxrec. All these guys may not be considered as A level fighters, but apart from Taylor which A level fighter has Kelly fought?

The version of Eastman that AA fought was only slightly better than the version that went life and death with John Duddy. Apart from that, I think some of our disagreement comes from a difference in the way we rate fighters. Miranda just barely gets a B-, and he knocked Eastman out right after Arthur failed to.

Gevor's biggest claim to fame is his loss to AA. I don't know much about Elcock, but if the scores in his Eastman fight are any indication, he fought a competetive fight with a version of Eastman that would not last 5 rounds with Pavlik.

In the end, resume's won't decide the outcome of Pavlik/Abraham. Arthur sets traps. KP needs to be hyper-alert to that, and stay out of them. Pavlik brutalizes guys who run to the ropes or corner. Arthur needs to do everything he can to keep the fight in the middle of the ring. That's the kind of stuff that will decide this fight.

Kessler would have no problems with Pavlik, at all, he's slow, sloppy and his chin is not that good.
A day in the field for Kessler.

Pavlik is not ready for 168 and Kessler yet but in the future it would be a great fight. As for Abraham, I see his style being perfect for Pavlik to look good against.
