Are you on cruiser Dave's payroll?
Watching you-tube, I couldn't believe cruiser Dave got TKO'd by cruiser Thompson.

You think he's ready for either of the Klitschko's?

Wladimir Klitskcho is carving out a fine legacy by which he will be judged. He has beaten 6-7 other titleists including Mercer, Byrd, Peter, Brewster, Ibragimov, and Rahmen, with Botha being sort of a titlesist as well. He has aslso beaten a host of fine contenders. Has has held two WBO championships, one of which he has unifed with the IBF belt. He has a lot of good years ahead of him. His combination of size, power, jabbing, and economical, wellplaced right hands/left hooks would present a problem to any heavyweight. He has had losses, and they do cound when his legacy is appraised, but he has since improved his stamina and fine tuned his style. People who demean his toughness are igrnoing all of this- ignoring the fact that he has always come back with renewed determination. Not that it counts towards boxing, but he is also a fine and decent man.

He is by no means a perfect fighter, but he is by great one. People who think he is boring are not really fans of the sport at which he excells- I suggest they go watch ulitmate bar figthing or whatever.

Here is hoping him and Povetkin have a good series of fights.

My initial pick would be VITLAY if I'm honest but the circle jerk that took place after the Peter fight was just that, another Klit-ite love in.

Watch the Peter fight in the cold light of day and you'll see that VITLAY is in fact quite far removed from what he was when he fought Lewis. Haye is very fast, very skilled and hits very hard. I'd say he has a chance to win yes, given VITLAYS age and physical frailties.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it - at least it's an interesting fight between two in-shape fighters who are both going to come into it extremely hungry to win. When was the last time you could say that about a HW title fight?

Credit to both of them for taking it - providing VITLAY doesn't quit before the fight begins again like he did 4 times with Rahman. (I wasn't going a whole post without hating on him, **** that) :D

Well, you left off the McCline ordeal, so it was far from hate...

It was a perfectly reasonable remark....this is the poster that provided me with this weeks Klitschko fan quote of the week - "to beat VITLAY, you have to kill him"

I've already emailed boxrec to take both Byrd fights off WALDOS record as WALDO must have been fighting an imposter. Byrd is in prison in Kiev, convicted of the murder of VITLAY and sentenced to life years ago, surely?

It would also explain why Lewis hasn't been in the ring since the VITLAY fight. Death row most likely - accused of murdering someone that Chris Byrd originally murdered back in 2000. I'm not sure they'll make that charge stick, somehow :huh

Why are people so intent on spelling Vitali's name wrong? :think

It's definetly an intriguing matchup IMO because of Haye's speed.

That is why I think a lot of people are on his bandwagon.

The other heavyweights can come in-shape and have a punch, but there isn't anyone that can match his speed.

I just can't see Haye avoiding Vitali all night even with his speed. I think Vitali will catch him with one and that is where we will learn alot about David.

He either has recuperating abilities or he doesn't, but Vitali is usually a good finisher.
