pac 114-113.. get over it.. for sweet pea and the rest who kept on crying. look at the GIF to ease your pain! stop crying. if the ref called this one, you have no more right to complain :good This content is protected ahhh, life is good to be mentioned in the company of armstrong :hi:
I've always and gladly argued my point of view through each of the rounds of my scorecards.......which is alot more than I can say for alot of people in this forum who could'nt even begin to know how to score a round! If you want to debate DLH/Tito or Chavez/Whitaker, there's a place in this forum for that my friend!
That gif has been discussed on this forum many times as well Harrison......none of you *******s can name a single instance where a referee called something similar to that on the gif, a knockdown. You *******s would just as well avoid having to debate rounds, so you grasp on to a point in a round where JMM's arm grazed the ropes. Unless a fighters gloves touch the canvas, refs dont call it a knockdown when a fighters arms touch the ropes. Look at the ropes when JMM's arm touches it, there's barely a bend there, so we know that JMM's weight is'nt being held by the ropes!:deal Just give me one example where a ref called something similar to that gif, a knockdown?:deal
If Bayless dropped the ball on that one...then every ref would and therefore I cant see anyone ever calling that a KD. In the end it wasnt called as such and should not be factored in when scoring this fight.
X2! this type of thread will NEVER end until JMM gets a great W that is worth mentioning. After all this contraversial Loss is the ONLY ticket to JMM to stardom...Not his win over MAB, Not his win over PRIME casa! Not his win over JACA, Salido or whoever that boxer maybe.. but this one is such a close fight that this will time and again be in a thread to put premuim on JMM's legacy! DO you think a WIN over Juan diaz will surpass this contraversial fight. Of course not! Like I said THIS FIGHT IS HIS TICKET to stardom!
Not a *******, but how about both of the first two knockdowns in Foreman-Norton? Norton goes into the ropes, doesn't touch down, but because the ropes were the only things that kept him up, it's ruled a knockdown. (Which is what the rules say). See also Jones-Griffin 2, first KD.
geehh, now i know you dont know boxing. "A boxer shall deemed to be "down" when any part of his body, except his feet, makes contact with the floor of the ring, This content is protected " what part of the highlighted red you dont understand?? :rofl without that rope, his ass would be sitting comfortably on the floor. what do you mean barely bended. it is a worse bend he had to cling on the rope to avoid sitting down.. gehh you need some eyeglasses :rofl
for a close fight that goes either way, you need not to complain but i guess this sport is kind of emotional. but if someone keeps on complaining for robbery with that close fight, i guess that guy need some reality check that the loser still have no right to complain especially with that GIF. clear KD.
Show us if you can? I've seen fighters grab onto the top rope to prevent from falling and have the ref call it a knockdown.......but nothing like the JMM-Pac gif where JMM's arm grazes the ropes be called one. IF you grab onto the ropes and its clearly bending from the weight the fighter is putting on it, yeh thats called a knockdown, but in this case, its just Marquez' arm grazing the ropes.......Marquez' glove touches the ropes, but he never grabs it and pulls himself up. Completely different here my friend, I've never seen a ref call such thing a knockdown.
Good God Harrison, you just made the point I've been trying to get across! What part of JMM's body except his feet came in contact with the floor? .......and is that JMM's body hanging helplessly over the ropes???:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl You've got to be a complete idiot if you think JMM's body is hanging over the ropes!!!:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl What part of your own highlighted post dont you understand????
In fairness I have to say that both of those examples I gave are rather more clear cut cases than in Pac-Marquez, but then I also think the GIF cuts off about a second before we see the full weight of Marquez on the ropes. Maquez doesn't completely lean on it, but I don't think he stays on his feet without some support. Here's a bit that's only about a minute long covering both the KD and the second almost KD, everyone can decide: [yt]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Xy9Pw9gJMUI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Xy9Pw9gJMUI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/yt] To me, it certainly looks like Marquez' hand grabs the rope and, more importantly, he keeps his balance because both his leg and ass were supported by it as he stumbled back along the ropes. And here's the full round, this time not cutting off so suddenly at the end so you have a chance to see the aftereffect and Marquez' reaction: [YT]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/oQrK-5CDplw&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/oQrK-5CDplw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/yt]
