How can anyone call Morales shot in 2nd fight with Pac???

GREAT post! Pac CRITICS can't defend that Morales was actually shot already as they claimed.

 

This is the most important fight of Pacquiao career, the second fight with morales made him what he is today.

 

Morales had lost against an unknown fighter before this fight. He was already finished or
shot. Pac has been just lucky winning at mexican fighters who are about to retire.

Morales was already past his prime from the first fight.In the second he was really slowed down.

 

Pacman would have never defeated a prime Morales.

morales was very competitive in this fight for the first five rounds with erik leading the scorecards. pac was primarily going to erik's body in the early rounds with single hard shots. this early body attack by pac started making dividends in the mid-rounds with morales starting to lose his legs as a result and pac stepping up his attack with combos now to both the head and body. pac was also able to effectively counter erik's jab with his strong right hook which he didn't have in the first fight. erik won their first fight as he controlled the fight with his jab.

i agree that their first fight took a lot out of morales especially the final 3 rounds. morales was past his prime but still not shot in the second fight. pac used an effective strategy by going to the body early, countering erik's jab with the right hook and methodically wearing him down for that TKO in the 10th.

 

From round 1-5 I thought it would be a repeat of the 1st fight, round 6 Morales chose to war with Pac and I knew then the fight was over. Pac took everything Morales had left in 6 & 7. He fought Pac as if he was Barrera, toe to toe forgetting it was boxing that won him the fight. Perhaps it was his tired legs that stopped him from moving back so much but he still threw a hell of alot more punches later in the fight so he obviously had the energy left.

 

He wasnt.

 

He was in the third fight. Don't believe me ask Diaz lol

 

he wasnt shot but definitely not prime when he fought pacquiao. not even the first time. ring wars wear u down mentally. he lost something during that first fight with barrera. that fight is incredible. insane.

 

I thought Morales fought very, very well in the 2nd fight. The difference was not in him, it was in Pacquiao. Morales walked through fire trying to win that fight, but Pacquiao had trained harder, worked out a better gameplan, and came in so determined to win. Basically, Morales was outgunned by a younger, fresher, faster, more powerful opponent. Morales's prime had gone by then, but he was still nowhere near being shot, he would have whipped many a fine superfeatherweight that night judging by his performance.

Considering that no-one else has ever decked Morales and stopped him, I consider it one of Pac's greatest victories. A sensational fight and a fantastic win.

 

I knew you ****in ****** pac fans would come out with this ****. Morales looked nothing like the old terrible we all are accustomed too. This fight just proves how talented that division was when a shot fighter can still almost pull off the victory years later, and make the other guy look foolish. Morales was shot for the second and third pac fight (hell he was shot last night). Look at the zahir raheem fight again, and try to be real boxing fans for once. Prime for prime, terrible beats pacman every time. Get a ****ing clue.
