Have not seen the two full fights between them, (only footage) but I know Jofre, who was on a winning streak up to the first battle, lost both fights.

Was it simply a bad stylistic match-up, or he was already on declined? Or Harada is simply an equally great fighter?

I am curious to hear about their fights from you guys here.

Have both fights complete. And I suppose Harada's swarming style would always cause Jofre's problems. I also belive Harada was just one of thsos fighters that had Jofre's number. Harada was also a great fighter in his own right.

...........Good thoughts; I would only add that Jofre had also been struggling to maintain 118 at the time. These were his last at that weight.

That is in no way to minimize what Harada did; he was outstanding, and Jofre would have been hard-pressed to beat him no matter what. I understand that Jofre trained a bit better, or at least made weight a little easier the second time, but Jofre was still straining to make weight.

That said, stylistically Harada posed a real problem for the long-armed boxer puncher who liked to strike from a distance. Harada was impossibly energetic, bored inside of Jofre's arms, and was able to dictate the pace and completely control the ring that way.

More than anything, you just have to give Harada the thumbs up instead of looking for reasons Jofre lost.
