His career as a meaningful contender is over

That is, unless he pulls a Shanon Briggs or Hasim Rahman and KO's about 6 tomato cans in 12 months and gets hype from a bunch of delusional people talking about how much he's "improved" and gets another title shot because of it. Either way he's been exposed and I doubt that HBO or Showtime is in a rush to broadcast any of his fights ever again

Peter would thrash Arreola, no question. And it'd probably be a quick thrashing, as well.

This is a tried and true method back to a title fight for sure. All he ahs to do is fight a lot of journeymen or weak chinned guys and build up his record and then he will be rigth back in a title fight.

    I don't think so.

Peter has taken way too many shots from Wlad, McCline, Maskeav, and Vitali.

All 4 of these guys can punch. Even McCline.

The HW division doesn't have much to offer to HBO or Showtime.....if Peter gets a good win under his belt he will be on tv again.

Exactly, the division is in shambles, it's pretty sad when a 46 yearold, extremely washed up great in Evander Holyfield could take on and nearly beat the 3rd best Heavyweight in the world, and if it was in America he would of got the decision.

Sam Peter still beats anyone not named Klitschko on a good day, a fully trained Peter, is an very dangerous fighter, just ask Wlad, he was in a war the last time they fought, since then he has got new team and has been undertrained everytime he has stepped in the ring, aside from the second Toney fight.

Sam Peter will be champ again by 2010, the guys only 28, Wlad was getting knocked out by Brewster at that age for christ sakes.

Peter is utterly dreadful. The fact that he is regarded as being in the top five of his division shows what a sorry state it's in. Sad as hell.

Well, that good chin made Peter take triple amount of unnecessarily punishment. If he've had a heart too, he might've ended up in a Hospital.
