Hamed had unified the division, fallen out of love with the sport, become super famous, earned £30 million, and just started a family. Thats why he quit.

I understand your point of view though.

    Gone for Calzaghe.

Resume wise the Hopkins win seperates them a lot, Kessler/Bungu comperable, While the rest of their best wins are pretty compareable beneath that.

Naz gets props for Unifying earlier, going stateside, his excitement in general and attracting attention to the game.

Calzaghe is a lock for the HOF, first ballot.

I do believe Naz will get in, but i dont know when.

Naz will feature on ATG power lists, be talked about favourably, and brought up in H2H discussions with Featherweights in the future.

Calzaghe will find a place on ATG Boxer's list, somewhere between 80-100, Greatest ever SMW guarentee's this, he will be mentioned in H2H discussions with future greats at the weight.

Both were hated on while active, which means they were doing something right. And like every other Boxer, when they retire this fades.

I think it's closer than alot of people are saying but I still think Calzaghe has the greater overall legacy.

Calzaghe for me. To still have a 100% record after being in the ring for 15 years is superb. He stepped up the level of opponents in the last few years, and he boxed even better when the challenge was greater.
If Ottke had the balls to step in the ring with him, Joe would have creamed him as well...

This pretty much sums up my opinion too.

I will say something else though, all these people saying "Calzaghe by a mile" and "it's not even close" really should do a bit more reaserch, or at least read the article. I think it clearly shows that it is a lot closer than POPULAR OPINION would have you believe. And that was the point of starting this thread.
