Me and Philla are having a disagreement. Im saying they have similar styles. the arguement came about that mayweather hasnt fought someone like pacman, and i said hatton was similar. he has raised some good points on their dissimilarities which i do agree with, but i think in general they are limited brawlers.
No not really watchin pac v JMM, Oscar and david diaz he likes to fight at range whilst hatton, likes to work away on the inside.
It depends. Hatton wasn't really himself from the Tszyu fight onwards for some reason until November. In some ways they are strikingly similar, i.e they like to attack and pressure, but whilst Pac will retreat on occasion Hatton won't and will just whack away to the body.
I don't think so. They both apply pressure, but a different kind of pressure. First off... the glaring difference is that Pac is a southpaw. Pac does most of his effective work with a nice right jab, his right hook has become a good weapon... and his bread and butter is his straight left hand. He attacks in more of an in and out manner. Pac always bears his head downward a lot, bends forward and lunges from that position. Hatton on the other hand brings the pressure to his opponent, attacks in front of his opponent with more of a side to side attack. His best punches being body shots, and obviously his left hook to the body or head. He also has a decent jab when he uses it, but not a dominating jab, and he has a decent somewhat slapping version of an overhand right. His bread and butter wouldn't be jumping in and out, it would be coming forward at all times, getting his opponent cornered and jumping from side to side as he mixes up his body and head attack from each side. He doesn't use the same type of head movement that Pac uses, as he doesn't bend and rotate at the hips like Pac does. Hatton's defense relies more on him leaning back and away from punches. Another big difference is the type of punches that they throw. Pac's punches are more of a lopping, downward swooping type of shots, except for his straight left. Hatton's punches are more like upward angled, digging shots.... except for his slapping overhand right. Pac likes to punch from outside, and get back outside when he falls in... while Hatton likes to punch enough just to get inside, and do his work from there.
Hatton's best form of defence is making the opponent run, or knocking them out, or with his face! His reflexes aren't that bad, but certainly not Whitaker-esque obviously.
no way!!!!!!! omg i see how someone would say that at, with an uneducated look hatton likes to get so close he is almost caressing your body, he can no fight from a distance at world class level, he is only effective at worldslass level fight completley inside
