Aside from the first 3 rounds, it was one of the most one sided boxing matches ever, Calzaghe dominated him. Lets not forget, Hopkins deserved a point taken off, something no one ever mentions when scoring the ''KD'' (repeated headbutts, elbows, clinching) he was then reduced to cheating, he was out punched, outworked, and outlanded (inc clean punches), only someone like you could score this for Hopkins.. i.e complete and utter morons. Now Cheerio Mohammed.
No I don't, and I really don' see how any one could. I was ****ing stunned it was a SD, it looked so clear to me I was thinking here we go, another American robbery, and I really do think that people questioning it are just people with an axe to grind for whatever reason with Calzaghe and are looking for any excuse to bash him. I gave Hopkins 3 rounds, even if you call the 1st 10-8 (which I'm not sure on as it was an even round and just a lucky knockdown if you ask me) Calzaghe won comfortably.
I had 114-113 for Calzaghe. I can't give close rounds to a guy who constantly retreats and doesn't throw punches. From my point of view Joe deserves this victory anyway, because BHop fought in a disgraceful manner. Clinching, head butting and faking low blows is not an art in my book. That's the same reason I'm not interested in seeing a rematch. BHop deserves to take this loss into retirement without any chance of redemption. I respect his skills and the way he fought against Pavlik was beautiful to watch but his performance against Joe damaged his legacy.
The only robbery in this fight was a SD result, should have been a clear UD for Calzaghe, 9 rounds to 3.
I am one of the few people with my own image as my Avatar, surely people with other men up are more likely to be homosexual? Can you imagine how boring a rematch against Hopkins would be, then everyone would just say ''Hopkins is old and shot'' again.
No. Both were ****, Calzaghe at least tried to impress, Hopkins did jack**** and was lucky to win any round bar the first.
