Also a question about the belts that someone might know....Can the WAMMA belts be defended in any organisation that isn't owned by Zuffa or are there only specific orgs?
They sanction them wherever, but the HW belt is really the only one at this point that could be held outside of Zuffa, since their rules say an initial title fight has to be between #1 and #2 Does anybody believe that Anderson Silva isn't #1 at MW? GSP at WW? Penn at LW? FW could be kid, be Kid vs Imanari, but not really undisputed, BW is clearly Torres. LHW is unclear, but almost certainly not outside of Zuffa.
The UFC of course have refused to work with WAMMA. WAMMA are trying to promote a unified title with a unified ruleset. It certainly has merit for anything outside of ZUFFA as they do encourage cross promotions. The UFC does not.
