When the fighter's greatest wins are constantly coming by SD and his lazy fighting style, he is a definite no no for this type of thread

Lazy fighting style? I think a large part of the close decisions he typically fought in were due to the top notch quality of the opposition he faced on a consistent basis. His style wasn't lazy, it was simply unspectacular. Anyone who can beat Rodriguez in 3 of 4 bouts at least deserves consideration for a thread like this.

Wow this is funny leaving off Willie Pep. He looks hands down better than any of these guys....even past his prime and cheap shotted, he can still be seen easily outboxing saddler round after round.

Pep should be # 1 on film

Watch Charles vs Valentino 1949 or Charles vs Walcott 1 1949 to see how well charles moved in his prime.

Carlos Palomino over Kid Gavilan ? Why such a choice ?
Otherwise I like your middleweight ranking.

You don't reckon Duran might make this list? Not saying he should undoubtably make the 147 list, but given Palomino has Duran should be a show. I know Carlos was old but Duran was pretty convincing, especially when added to his showing vs Leonard.

And just on the 'cheap shotting' Saddler may have done some holding and hitting, but Pep was by far the dirtier of the two in there. Watch the footage available, Saddler never once gets admonished by the ref, Pep does several times and for good reason.

In other words, Palomino is just an awful choice.
