I have spoken to Thornberry who told me that briggs (despite being offered the opportunity) did not want a rematch. Just recently Thornberry and Paul Briggs spoke about some sparring and paul indicated that Nathan wanted another shot, to which Thornberry/Leapai are happy to accommodate at any time.

Then they where offered it for march and knocked it back.
I think you will find Briggs will relinquish the OPBF to get a rematch with Leapai for the Oz.
