It's padded because its padded. His record is full of wins over lower class opposition, yet he does not get half the criticism of another British boxer.

because pacquiao made him look terrible. he has done this in the past and people dont give him credit. give credit where its due. stop making excuses. delahoya agreed to fight at 147.

Kosta Tszyu was p4p top 3 when Hatton made him stay on his stool so how is that shot? Hatton put in an amazing perfomance and would have given PBF a run for his money that night
Lazcano isn't as bad as people think - he only had 3 losses on his record prior to Hatton with 37 wins - and Hatton still won every round and gave Lazcano a boxing lesson... And don;t say Hatton was close to be KO'd - he got hot once and jerked back, its a boxing match, this happens!
Before the Malignaggi fight a lot of people on here where going for Malignaggi saying he would be too quick etc, then Hatton destroys Malignaggi and puts in a great performance and people say Malignaggi is terrible.... OK
Hatton was the first fighter to KO Castillo.... and before the KO Hatton dominated him
Hattons win over Collazo and Urango who between them had only lost 1 fight and are both decent boxers - he sowed great heart against both.
There was nothing embarrasing about Hatton losing to PBF. He was competitive up till about round 7 where PBF gave Hatton a bit of a boxing lesson - but thats nothing to be ashamed of given PBF is undefeated and has beaten the best of his era and is a p4p the best fighter of the last 10 yrs.

Give Hatton a break, he has a good resume and has one defeat to the best fighter of the last 10 years. His style might not be everyones cup of tea bt neither is PBF's.

Now roll on Manny Pac and watch Hatton KO him

    Yes, it is.

And he gets plenty for it from the likes of you. Hatton's is even worse. Check out his list of wins and be prepared to be underwhelmed.

Yes it is. Because of the money of course, and the fact that Hatton is considered the no. 1 Jr WW.

tszyu hadn't boxed for a year when they fought soo he was ring rusty. plus the ref gave hatton every opportunity to win that fight and was incredibely hard fight to watch. A prime tszyu ko's hatton. give hatton credit he did what he had to do. but in my opinion that wasn't a great victory. castillo was shot and malignagi can't punch.

pac is way to good than hatton. if the pac of the last 2 fights appears ricky has no chance and that is the honest truth.

With this post, I am beginning to believe that hype works and padded record helps bigtime. All one has do is **** an elite fighter and voila, you're made. In fairness to the opinion writers, I tried to check on Hatton's record in BoxRec and found out that they are actually right. W/ the exception of two or three fighters, most of his opponents were unknown and weak fighters. BoxRec comes in handy sometimes.

yes it is a **** thread . TFFP says his record is full of wins against lesser fighters . well whose isn't ? whats the major difference between hattons record and say, cotto's ? not a massive amount.
