Many fans felt that Holyfield won the first one, while the judges felt otherwise. As far as I know, many people feel that Holyfield won that fight. The WBA will review the fight and its decision. My view is that the fix was in from the beginning, enabling a possible Valuev-Chagaev II rematch next year. Should Chagaev win his match against Carl Drumond on Feb 7th, they'll fight to determine who the real WBA champ is.

I wonder what will happen if Drumond pulls off the upset against Chagaev. Would he lose his precious "champion in recess" status? Certainly Drumond wouldn't gain that title. Drumond really has nothing to gain other than being considered one of the top h'weights in the world, and an upset would certainly give him a title shot. Chagaev's got everything to lose in a bout, including said rematch with the giant.

Holyfield should get a rematch, and this time it should be held in the US. I can see Holyfield winning the rematch, rightfully claiming the title he should have won in the first place. Holyfield's gonna train even harder for the rematch, probably as hard as he possibly can or even harder.

But, I feel he should take a tune-up fight to keep himself busy. Who should he go against? Oleg Maskaev? What about Oliver McCall? Certainly he hasn't retired yet. Glen Johnson recently blew out Aaron Norwood in 4 rounds to keep himself busy. We'll see what happens, I'm hoping the fight takes place.

    Your thoughts, please...

**** no. I can already predict that the fight will be boring and will be much closer, this time Valuev will do much better and will win another MD or SD.

    Absolutely not.

There should never have been a Holyfield-Valuev 1.

What did Holy do to earn it since his previous loss ?

Holy is not a top 20 heavywt.

The sooner someone removes Valuev from the scene, the better. He's absolutely terrible.

I like the guy away from the ring. Nice man.

But get him out of boxing.

And get Holy to a rocking chair.

It would be another unexciting fight, and there are other fights we'd much rather see Valuev in (Wlad Valuev), yes, but if justice is served, and they do what is right, Evander will get a rematch, yes.

That's rough to call. The match shouldn't have occurred in the first place as Holyfield did nothign to warrant a title shot. But based on that fight alone I think Evander did win and deserves a rematch.

It was a terrible fight and terrible decision. Maybe with a rematch Valuev would ACTUALLY THROW SOME PUNCHES and we can have a righteous outcome.

no from all accounts they should give holy the victory so that valuev will hopefully be unable to hand select opponents and get more losses and so that holy will get put into retirement permanently by a klitchko or a couple of others
