They have let a lot of guys in that are less than elite so Winky has a chance.

I am glad to hear there are people who like me think Winky gets to much credit for his wins over Tito and Sugar Shane. I respect Winky for fighting abroad allot when he was up and coming but from a fans point of view he rarely gave me entertaining fights.

    Doh ! :patsch

Indeed I did, with his defensive style Winky would be derided at every opportunity were he European.

Winky's inactivity has really hurt him, but he is one of the most talented fighters putting on gloves today and no one else has ever beaten Mosely twice and shut out Trinidad. Even if Trinidad looked shot, Wink did what he had to do and won every single round. Fighting to a draw against Taylor and losing what should have been a close decision to Hopkins really gives the wrong impression of how good Winky really is. Accomplishments is not the only criteria to enter the boxing's HOF.

Yes, I know, what I meant is that no one has two victories over Mosely and one over Trinidad on their record. For example, Oscar fought them both and at the best argument for Oscar he could have gotten a close decision over Trinidad and over Mosely the second time around. But officially he actually lost all three fights while Winky won them. I think that's a pretty impressive accomplishement, but that's just my opinion.

Winky has always been high risk little reward. It was hard for him to get fights throughout his career, guess he had to take whoever he could ge, whenever he could get em.

Winky's best 2 wins are against natural welters above their weightclass and Joe C beat Hopkins when Winky couldnt

    Should he be? No.

Will he be? Probably, the standards have sunk quite a bit.
