So by knowing he can lose he proves his greatness?, what about avenging the losses?

So by your logic since he lost to someone then he's automatically great because he fought someone that proved he can lose to?

I smell something similar to "Mayweather has more losses than Margarito" coming soon. :rofl Maybe "Margarito lost, therefore he's greater than Mayweather"? :good

He didn't get attention because Floyd retired, he got attention because he got his very first major win recently against Cotto. It had nothing to do with Mayweather and if the guys he fought were so AWESOME he would have gotten attention way before without the need for certain fighters to retire. Fact is his resume was **** poor that's why no one knew about him and others knew about guys like Mosley/DLH/Forrest/Mayorga/Judah and even Baldomir.

Sorry but I don't see how the sport needs someone who has a history of not avenging losses and openly admitted he doesn't plan to with Williams as he goes on to cherry pick a fight with a shot to death Mosley then a rematch with a guy he already KO'd.

Yeah those are good fights that people will watch but are they as "pure legacy" as guys like you claim?, **** no.

u act as if floyd started off at 147. i know u hate hearing about 130 and 135 but guess what, thats where he started. cotto and margarito would be flattened by average middleweights let alone super middles or LHWs. lets see ur 50 best fighters list or do u even know of 50 boxers?

exactly, they are similar in size and both considered the top fighters on the planet.

I wanna see this fight too but he might as well fight some of the WW champions after that. No point in a one fight comeback.

Of course a fighter like Mayweather will put his self in that class, what I said if fans agreed that he's better than Ali/Leonard/Robinson then they're delusional because he clearly isn't, but he's definitely in that class.

About fighting and beating "Margo", Cotto and Mosley. "Margo" is doing nothing but cherry picking and trying to make money, in the most pathetic way as well. By cherry picking a rematch with someone he already KO'd and fighting a shot to death Mosley who went life and death with Mayorga at 154.

When Margarito fights and beats someone his own size, please wake me up. And no, I'm not talking cabdrivers like Lujan, Hercules, Andrew "Six heads Zero Chins" Lewis and Cintron. Also, when he avenges a loss or at least attempts to, wake me up. :good

Anachronism alert! This sentence worked properly a year ago.

    Today the correct sentence is:
He can earn shitloads of money fighting Mosley, Cotto again, DLH-Chavez Jr. winner (poor guy), moving up to 154 to challenge Williams, Forrest, Angulo in the future etc.

He clearly isn't in that class yet. They all fought the best available in their division. SRL came back from years of inactivity and took on the toughest man at the time.

Don't worry he won't.. He can't even do that much fighting at WW

If he comes back, fights Pacquiao or Hatton and then steps out we all get dicked once again. We don't need it. Floyd doesn't need Margarito and Margarito doesn't need him but at least guys like Williams and Margarito want to fight Floyd.

Too bad Williams and Margarito aren't fighting eachother

No one expects him to fight Pavlik but some of the top fighters in his own division like he was supposed to do before he retired.

wot the 147's need is a good old unification tournemant like the heavies in the 80's,if it makes money it makes sense as they say. it also throws up some classic scraps ,even without FMJ ,and in time be seen as a golden era ....but without it its in a state of flux

He already fought the best at 130 and 135, at 140 his attempts to fight Hatton didn't go through because of Hatton, was hardly Mayweather's fault. At 147 his main target was the best, Zab Judah, and undisputed champion who lost to Baldomir, therefore making Baldomir the best. Sorry, but Antonio Margarito beating Kermit Cintron and Lujan doesn't make him the best and not even close, as far as I remember Margarito was just the next hypejob right after Vivian Harris was KO'd at 140. At 154 who can you name is better than DLH as the best back then?
