Just saw it on sky sports news. Apparently they are holding some kind of enquiry into the judging

    Was it really that bad

Well i thought Holyfield won the fight, by doing more than valuev so he did very little.

By the way why have you posted this in the British forum?

Not really. Been far worse robberies but emotion seems to be overclouding judgement on this one.

I mean really...what the **** they gonna do? Count the 30 successful punches and try to seriously argue some ****?

    Pointless.

I posted it in here because this is where you can actually talk to people about boxing. It's a lot better than listening to the assholes out in the main forums. I'd rather talk to the people in here than those fools. Thats all really.

If it is that big a deal I'm sure I'll get banned. It's not like I'm trolling or anything

Well I thought that Holyfield won by about 3 rounds and so does everybody I know that saw the fight.

However, these two think differently, and they were actually there...

I'd watch the fight again to make sure; but seriously, I'm not into self harm.

    ok :good

Anyway the crowd and commentators i was listening to were not happy with the result and they booed the decision and valuev out of the ring.

However i really hope there is no rematch, i mean how are they going to sell it to tv companies when the first fight was possibly the worst fight of 2008? (luevano vs Dib is another contender for that title)

I think you are missing the point. The reason that the WBA are investigating is to try and figure out why if there were bribes, Senor Mendoza did not get his cut........

I saw most (about 8-9 rounds) the fight and there was def. 2 ways you could have scored the parts I saw. Valuev was holding centre ring and scoring with a few jabs while Holyfield was moving and potshotting the odd big hook from the outside. Take your pick but I wouldn't read anything into the crowd booing the decision, they were very pro-Holyfield from the start.

  10. So what's the most that the WBA can do if thy find it to be improper officiating? Order a re-match? Strip Valuev??

it was a robbery......Holy pissed it for me.....the big lumpwas useless. But a rematch? i think i would rather stick pins in my eyes.

  12. Completely agree on the re-match front, but if you put yourself in Evander's shoes, that may have been his last and best chance at a legitimate Heavyweight strap. I had Holy winning by 4 rounds.

The most they will do is order a rematch. Stripping a champion after he's been found the winner by judges is a VERY dangerous precident to set.

This is just another way for the WBA to make further sanctioning fees by ordering a rematch. An investigation by them doesnt mean **** all.
