YES liston would adjust to the size diff, he was an underated boxer, his defence before the ali and patterson fights was not bad

Yeah, and he'd have no problems with Vitali, his only potential problem would be Wlad, but I don't see Wlad beating Liston either.

Yes. Liston had great power and that alone would get him through most of the division. Now we look at how he can take a punch; he can take a helluva punch. His defense was solid and he would have the mental edge over almost everybody so I would say yes. He can also box from the outside and use that pole-like jab to keep opponents away. Did I really have to explain myself?

Wlad is head and shoulders above Williams and also Zech. Go watch the Zech fight and then think about Wlad, taller, much stronger, much faster hands and 10x the ring general of Zech and tell me Wlad doesnt have a chance.

If Liston was fighting today he would likely be a cruiser weight. The vast majority of gusy he fought were under the cruiser limit as well.

Liston faced a few bigger heavyweights, and did well against them. He pretty much blew out Big Cat and Nino Valdez. Past prime Valdez, and neither were great, but it proves he could be effective against modern sized fighters.

Liston had what Joe Frazier called "ring power"; i.e., he seemed much bigger and stronger than his physical weight and height.

Same in American football, you have the same weight running backs,,, but one is power and the other is finesse.

Liston would have trapped both of the Klits and pounded on them to an eventual stoppage.

Like Liston wasn't 1000 times the fighter Brewster, Purrity, or the 38 yr old golfer were when they took care of Wlad.

Some people have never seen him fight, quite evidently.

Don't forget his reach, either. Freakish for a man of his height.

Yes he would. Totally, and probably for a long time cause there won´t come another Muhammad Ali to take his title this time.

I think a fighter like like Wlad could give Liston a lot of problems.... Liston is not even 6'0 ft tall, and I think he could struggle to get inside of the WLad of today. The HW divison of that era was mostly guys who would be present day Cruiserweight or LHW's

COmparing fighters from different Eras is difficult, fighters nowadays are crazy physical monsters.. due to new nutritional discoveries and supplements, training techniques and technologies... all sports are like this. So much more money is rewarded that fighters or other athletes have to work even harder than in the past because there is greater competition to be the best.
