I don't see the point in this, Calzaghe ruined him.

Since when was Roy a Heavyweight before he fought Ruiz, or Hopkins a Lt Heavy before Tarver??? I said if Roy wants to move up in weight -----> then why not CHALLENGE Hopkins at Cruiser?

Why should Hopkins give Jones a shot anyway?

OK, he may avenge a loss, but it would surely be a hollow victory - having been knocked out a couple of times, and not beating a decent, live opponent in six years......

Because they both already fight in the same division.

What's the point in 'moving up' in weight to fight someone, when you both already fight comfortably at the same weight as each other?

Hopkins moved up to LHW and fought Tarver. If his first fight at LHW had been Winky Wright, that would have been seen as somewhat less impressive (as indeed it was when they did fight). Jones moved up to heavyweight and beat Ruiz. If his sole heavyweight fight had been against Clinton Woods, I doubt that would be lauded as an achievement.

They're both in a tough spot right now. I don't think Hopkins wwould fight him actually. I think Hopkins has too much class to fight him at this point. But as far as money fights, there isn't too much out there.

I'm assuming that Jones doesn't want to fight at Lt Heavy anymore :deal

Roy could fight Toney or Holyfield and be competitive.

If Roy were to fight anyone in the top 10 then he gets ko'ed again.

Jones should honor his Mandatory when he won the WBA paper belt from Ruiz and fight Vitali Klitschko. :deal

Boxers and their pride - what a bad combination unless you are
    Bernard Hopkins.

ROFL. Roy was ruined back in 05 lol. He was ruined when he came down from heavy and got KTFO by Tarver. Calzaghe couldn't even knock this pitiful version of Jones out. If, as Rico said, Jones has a glass jaw and his name should be Glass Jaw Jones and Calzaghe couldn't KO him, he has zero power.

I don't think he has a glass jaw btw, lol, it's funny just to talk about it though.
