when was the last time pac got hit by a punch as hard as hattons left to the body? he never has. if he can ko castillo who had never even gone down before with a bodyshot he can ko pac.

hmm... 140 isn't exactly a strong and top class division, is it? but that will finally change w/ pac and possibly jmm coming in.

like i said, he has to land that punch first. pac definitely won't be just standing still there, ready for the taking like the shot castillo. he wasn't even able to KD a small malignaggi or a old, part-time fighter in lazcano and now he's supposed to be able to KO an elite, prime p4p #1 fighter who has never been KO'd/KD'd in 9-10 years. i think you're being too optimistic.

yep. but he doesn't have the superior height and reach of dlh either. and pac was still able to land that left either as a lead or straight at will.

and hatton isn't exactly a defensive guru, is he? the guy blocks punches w/ his face rather than with his gloves like pac does. and his head/lateral movement is so predictable that pac can time it.

height and reach don't mean anything if you don't throw any punches.

but either way, we'll see come fight night. hatton tko8

well, that's the only way hatton wins here. if he can somehow land that big body punch at the 8th as you predicted. but he wasn't been able to land that punch against inferior opposition like malignaggi and lazcano. so, how will he do it against a prime, elite p4p#1 fighter? pac is simply the more superior fighter. but like you said, we'll see come fight night. pac will methodically dismantle hatton for a KO/TKO late rounds or a clear UD.

If Manny went toe to toe with Hatton he would probably get banged out in the later rounds. If Manny uses his speed and footwork, as he did with ODLH he could outbox Hatton and take Unanimus decison over 12 rounds.

    Chert,

Great series of POSTS! Roly is talking more of his faith that Hatton will win than talk about how logical his statements are. I respect that. No problem! I was thinkng that way prior to pac vs dlh fight!

Good news going for pac fans is that PAC is now more mature, more patient more skilled boxer than he was three years ago. Yes, Hatton is a strong puncher but like I said PAC has matured leaps and bounds that he wouldn't let Hatton hit him at will as much as Hatton wants/intends.

I'll go into fantasy fight... if they fought way back 2005. Hatton wins! From 2005 to 2008 many good things have occured for pac.
So for their fight for 2009. I STRONGLY BELIEVE PAC will win this one!

Strangely, Most Hatton fans are leaps and bounds more tame, more respectful than JMM fans..

    Cheers!

Well i believe this will be closer than most people think.

It will be a close first 6 rounds then I believe pacquiao will pull away on points to take a UD, unless Hatton can sustain a good body attack throughout the fight to slow pac-man down, because he will not be headhunting like against Mayweather because Pac-Man is not exactly going to taunt Hatton because pac-man is not like that.

Because he's strong, quick and relentless. And he shut-out then knocked out Malignaggi with ease in his last showing. And the idea is that he will only get bet the more time he spends with Floyd Sr. as his trainer. And he's the naturally bigger man. And he is fighting at HIS weight class, not under or above.

Hatton looked much improved against Malignaggi and will look even better against Pacman. This was a different Hatton and Pac can't box all night. It will be competitive but Hatton may walk away with a UD.
