To be fair to Hatton he also went to the states to chase p4p prime no1 Floyd. He's fought in the states 5 times now...

Joe's not fighting the best had nothing to do with him not being able to get the fights. Nor is their any facade about the resumes of guys like Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins, Winky Wright (Who spent the entire part of his early career beating europeans in France, England and Germany) Jeff Lacy built his legacy fighting Eurobums. He just happened to meet the only European in the world at the time who was a great fighter. If he had fought Jermaine Taylor, or Kelly Pavlik, or Chad Dawson, or any of the other 160-175lb American prospects he would have gotten exposed just liek calzaghe exposed him.

Jermaine Taylor was put through the fire early in his career. Same with Chad Dawson. Now compare them to guys like Mikkel Kessler who's still fighting guys like Hausler at 30 years old. No comparison. Chad Dawson has just as good a legacy as Joe Calzaghe and he's only 26 years old. That just sad.

Amen, 5 yrs ago, 8yrs ago, 10yrs ago, that is a one round fight. Even if JC would have gotten up Roy would have pounced him and had him out.
