I dont think so either, but could Mancini at least give him a tough fight? I suspect Ortiz methodically takes Ray apart and stops him like he did Battling Torres.

.............I don't think it would be that difficult a fight, really. Ray may win a round here and there with his workrate, but Ortiz was slick and quick enough to elude most of what was thrown at him, and he was learned and tough enough to punish him for any mistakes. Just too well-rounded and resolute.

How do you see Mancini doing against some of Ortiz's victims, like Laguna and Torres?

.............Haven't seen Torres, but I think Laguna beats him. Too fast. I could see it going something like Laguna's fight with Mando Ramos. I'm not suggesting he'd open him up like a butcher the way he did Ramos, but the action would play out a lot like that.

Mancini/Torres would be an entertaining bout, though I think Ramos was the more skilled operator inside than Mancini. Laguna beats any of them. His speed, footwork, and skill-set would be too much.

On Carlos' worst night and Ray's best, this is a close fight, with Carlos winning. On any other given scenario it likely stops being competitive about half way through.

No, not a prayer. I have a better chance of winning the Lotto or of being elected President than Ray woul have of beating one of the greatest champions of all time. Ortiz would have ko'd, as in a 10 count Ray in 10 or 12. It definitely wouldn't have gone 15.

A Torres fight with Boom Boom would have been competitive, but Laguna would have shredded Ray for a tko. Ramos would have gotten a decision, Flash Elorde would have as well as would have Joe Brown and Carlos Teo Cruz.

Love Boom Boom, but Ortiz is a different level. I think Mancini makes it hard at the start, but Ortiz figures him out by the half way mark (probably before, most likely) , and defeats him.

Ray lands a good right hand and screams like a maniac like he does when he is announcing, and Ortiz ko's him with a counter left. Sorry, couldn't help it. Actually I think Ray is a tough out for anybody and would make him a live underdog against Ortiz. Ortiz would need to be on top of his game to blunt Ray's non-stop attack.
