Bull****...as if having a second career makes you a fraud. This guy knows, and has known his **** for a long time. He is qualified to speak on the subjects he chooses, and is well versed in both boxing's history and it's present.
"but when people get older they tend to look back rather than appreciate the present for what it is. " Great observation, it's almost like a genetic condition of aging with almost all of us. I really try to avoid it like the plague. Some stuff was better then, some stuff is better now and the same goes with boxers. From before Sugar Ray Robinson to Floyd Mayweather, there are a lot of guys who would be great in any area
you might want to do some research on this. The guy is using Boxing and has been for decades. He was a failed baseball writer and turned to Boxing as a last resort. He is a joke.
Using boxing...??? Writing boxing is his job. Actually, we the boxing public use him for his knowledge and insight. Again, having another career doesn't make you a fraud, especially since he was already a writer. What do you really have against Bert Randloph Sugar...???
I will not support a guy who is a fraud and using a sport I like to make money. He is a fraud. There are several people in the industry who will tell you this. It is not a case of having a second career. The guy is a hack. Like I said do a little research and you might be shocked at what you find.
It must suck when you have to keep using the same old material from one single fight. That is the ONLY one of his wins that people act like has ever happened... and then they jump to his losses. Haters... he's the man, get over it.
That's not really how it works here Rico... If you have some knowledge about what a "hack" he is share it. Don't send me on a mission of research only telling me that other people don't like him too. What's the problem, that he makes money...??? Is he a liar, what...???
He's the one-eyed man in the land of the blind. If the division was half of it was in the 90's, Wlad would find himself going down more times than Clay Eiken at a gay bar.
Wow... what an amazing contribution. Your knowledge astounds me. He could always take Lennox Lewis' if he was in the 90's. He could avoid the top 5 best fighters of his era, and wait to pick a couple of them off when they are over the hill.
Wlad is not even in the same league as Lennox Lewis, Lewis actually beat top 15 Heavyweight greats, the same cant be said for Wlad, based on the terrible era he's currently fighting in. So whats his best win, 25 yearold Sam Peter or little old Chris Bryd?
No problem, I enjoyed the video of the great Bert Sugar telling it like it is, it's just too bad there are a few posters that didnt enjoy quite as much.:yep
Bull**** Lennox Lewis would have KO'D Wlad, no doubt, he tore his bro's face off and Lewis would have been to strong, for Wlad who looked like he was afraid to get hit by a 215, lb Ibragimov, **** that was 1 ugly fight.
I enjoyed Sugar's piece too the guy tells it like it is:goodif people can't handle the truth oh well:-(
He knows his **** yet he has Lennox Lewis like 19 all time..yeah let me tell ya..he sure knows a thing or two..please
