If it was the only time Wlad fought scared or the fact it was the first unification fight since 99, I might of cut Wlad some slack, but it wasnt just another lame contender in Germany. I think what pissed me off the most, was the fact Wlad was so reluctant to let his hands go, even when he did have Sultan hurt and almost down mid way through fight. The fight was a disgrace, and yet again another example of how bad the division truly is now.

Why would you have to agree with his opinion on a particular fighter's all time placement, in order to value his insight...???

F*ck, I don't agree with my own team sometimes...that doesn't mean that Iceman, or Tim don't know what they are saying.

There is room for disagreement as a fan of this sport.

Sugar's a joke. He hates fighters of today, and especially Eastern European fighters. He's a completely biased turd.

This granny needs to stay in his retirement home. He is absolutly terrible to listen to. The typical "when I was a kid the summers were warmer, the snow in winter was 6 meters high and everyone were happy and smiling all the time and my granparents house always smelled like freshly baked cookies."

Jut rubbish. And he cannot remember from his nose to his mouth. Anything. This is his detailed analysis of Floyd Mayweahters opposition over the years:

    "Mayweather has a good defense.. and a good...... counter punch... witnessed by the fact that he beat ... ..... ..........uhmmm.... ...... . . . . . ........ ........... ......... .......... ........................ . . . . . a couple of good fighters ... in ... his lifetime....."

Why don't you go back and fix it again...as a longtime poster you should know better than that.

Type that bs all day, but put it under your own username.

Which top 15 Heavyweight great did Lennox beat in in their prime? Over the hill fighters don't mean ****. So... once again... which top 15 ATG Heavyweights were the ones that Lennox beat in their prime? Michael Grant, or Fortune?

Whilst I agree with him on the WALDO/Ibragimov fight stinking out the joint I don't like the man. I read a book a while back by a pretty impartial journalist that had witnessed Sugars behaviour close hand and he seems to be a right nasty piece of work.

Wish I could remember the name of the book but it was a British journalist who wrote about the opposing ends of the spectrum in boxing, he went from the ****-holes of England to the bright lights of Vegas and made commentaries on the differences, very interesting stuff.

The big fight he went to for the finish of the book was a Jones fight I think and he said in the post fight party Sugar behaved in an inappropriate manner towards a couple of young girls. I'll leave it at that until I dig out the name of the book, my memories gone.

Sometimes I think people think because someones old and wrinkly then they must be wise. Not the case, ignorant ****s get old too, and they rarely change - and that's how I view Bert Sugar. He was right about that Klitschko fight though, it sucked.

    Holyfield twice for a start.

Considering a fellow Klit-ite thought Mercer was in his prime at 41 on that other thread I'll have to add Tyson into that too.

A more interesting point would be "how many top 15 heavies did any heavyweight champion beat in their prime?"

Ali V Foreman springs to mind, so does Ali-Frazier but it could be argued that Ali was post-prime in both those fights. Can't think of any others.

Well seeing that Holyfield wasnt prime, but still capable, that should count for something, and even the 2002 version of Tyson was better than the 05 version of Peter, the same Peter that gave a Wlad a panic attack or two, and made him hit the canvas numerous times, on way to a 3 point victory.

Wlad's best win is either over Chris Bryd or Sam Peter, tell me that isnt sad, I could name at least 10 fighter Lewis fought that would of destroyed both these men, prime Mercer, Briggs, Holyfield, Tyson, Vitali, Tua(he would of beat Peter IMO), Ruddick, Golota, Rahman, McCall.
