Don't know about Quarry but Carnera would have chances against Wlad.Small but he would.

I certainly agree with you there, but Valuev gives anyone a tough night, other than Vitali. I bet Wlad has a little trouble early trying to figure him out, and though Valuev doesnt really pack a big punch, it doesnt take much to put Wlad on his back, so really anythings possible IMO.

That's because of his size, that is all he has,he usually had a jab but I see this left him also.I think he either underestimated Holy or is shot.Next loss,err.....fight should show us.

  6. Wlad was ko'd by journeyman Ross Purity, and brutally beaten down by part time boxer, beer bellied Corrie Sanders so Canera probaly would have knocked him out too, Wlad is fortunate to fight in an era of a division of pitiful fighters..:verysad

His jab is pretty good, and yes, he probably did underestimate Holyfield, Sultan did the same thing not too long ago. Holyfield may not have the speed or wicked combinations he once had, but he still a capable fighter, that could beat anyone outside the top 10 and give a few top 10 fighters a tough fight, especially in the early rounds where he's most effective. The division is terrible, which his what gives guys like Valuev a chance to beat pretty much anyone and remain one of the top fighters in the division at the moment, time will tell wether or not he will fold in the future.

Difference is Sultan won the fight clearly, probably around 10 rounds or so and still was criticeized for looking bad.Valuev took the term ''freakshow'' to another level that night.

Thats true, everyones entitled to one lackluster fight, we all know Wlad's had them. I just hope that Valuev improves his craft and finds a way to prove himself to be better than just a feak show act, he does seem like a nice guy.

I also was a passenger briefly on the Valuev sympathy train.

He raised his hand at the final bell of the HOLY fight though, making him a fraud.

NicoLIE ValueLESS can get f*cked for all I care.

Valuev is what he is, a huge man with limmited skills, average power, granite chin, and a pretty good workrate for size, with a good jab when he uses it, something he did very well against Liakhovich last year.

I wouldnt call close decisions against top opposition bad nights, I personally though Chagaev/Valuev was one of my favorite fights of 07, where both men put on a pretty decent show. Valuev has never been down or even close to getting his ass kicked, lets see if theres any Heavyweight that can do that, only Vitali can do that IMO.

Holyfield won anywhere from every round, to all but three...that wasn't a close decision it was a robbery.

...and again, right when the bell sounded at the completion of 12 he raised his hand to a chorus of boos. He's a gotdamned fraud...that solitary act of saying "I'm the winner," killed the POS in my eyes, obviously he doesn't respect the fans or the truth.

The word ''workrate'' and Valuev shouldn't be in the same sentence after Holyfield.
Valuev never been down is another myth broken by refs or judges.
    Ruiz rematch,round 2....tell me that wasn't a KD?

He does what Don King tells him to do, I have already seen King whisper in Peter's ear before doing an interview, and we all seen him make like 3 or 4 excuses why he was floored 3 times against McCline, Broken Hand, slipped on the canvas, eardrum problems, he had to say all that to keep his reputation intact, same goes with Valuev, I'm sure he didnt expect Holyfield to still have that much in tank, and hopefully he learns from his mistakes.
