    Of lasting all 12?

I don't think so. I hope Margarito disposes of him quick, I don't want to see him hurt seriously. I think he's reached that stage all great athletes reach in thier careers where they still have the fire but are in denial about just how much thier abilities have declined.

Of course he stands a chance at lasting all 12.

A late Margarito stoppage wouldn't surprise me. I'm still going with Margarito by UD though.

    i dont think so.

this would be a bad ass fight if Mosley was still in or just around his prime. i think he's too past it now to put up with that kind of pressure.

EDIT: i missed your first post and was answering if Mosley had the chance to win. i think he def can last the full 12 rounds though.

He has two hands doesn't he???Seriously, if he comes with the right game-plan not only can he last 12 rounds, but he can win the majority of them.

Margo UD or very late stoppage.

However, I think Mosley hits harder than Cotto. HE WILL test Margo's chin more than it ever has been. If he can keep his stamina up, move in and out and land power punches he CAN win a UD.

But I don't think he's got it in him and Margo will win a decision. Would love to see Sugar Shane do it though, but I've got to be realistic, Margo can take a punch, and will in order to throw many more than his opponent....he will catch up with Shane at some point.

Who has better defense, Cotto or Mosley?

Who is better at fighting off thier backfoot?

I disagree that Mosley hits harder then Cotto btw.

Doesn't it make sense to bet on it if you think he has a 'very good' chance, given he is a 3.5/1 underdog with the bookies. 100$ to make $350.

Fair enough. Cotto can bang himself.

Cotto's a better boxer than Mosley, but Mosley takes shots better, or at least historically has shown better punch resistance. He's also more inclined to tie opponents up than Cotto is.

Mosely is a very live underdog! and while Margo is tough we must remember just how tough Mosely is coming from Southern California he grew up sparring and warring with the tough never say die Mexicans in the Gym. He is past his best but a great fighter always has one more moment left. Margo has his weaknesses and Shane presents some skills that are favorable in Light of those weaknesses. Margo needs to be on his game this is no gimme.
The smart money is on Margo obviously but this is one that should be watched. Believe it Shane saw the Cotto v Margo scrap and has a gameplan. Dont fall asleep on this one.

I think you are right. I think we will see another of the current legends humiliated just like Oscar. I wish he would have retired after struggling to beat the wild man Mayorga.

Ofcourse he stands a chance he does have a good chin and Margarito isnt the biggest one punch KO artist. However I think the accumilation will get too him and at his age he wont be able to do it, id put my money on a late TKO.

Good points of course. Shane, one of the greats of our time, has always been a pro's pro.

But weren't you bothered by the showing in his last fight, where the execution of his gameplan was hardly as effective as expected against the unorthodox, powerful-but-limited, front runner Mayorga?
