It would be a compliment for Toney to call him a Gatekeeper. Heavyweight champion? Maybe at pie eating.

Yeah, so if it's that weak, what stops Oquendo and Batchelder from beating the top guys (not counting Toney, obviously) ?

But maybe you're right..... James "split decision" Toney for undisputed champion 2009! :happy:happy:happy

Toney did call him out after Povetkin was injured.

I assure youToney did not call out Klitschko after Povetkin pulled out. He stayed silent till well after Rahman signed and he signed with Thompson, only then did he come out and spout off some more of his bull jive.

    JT got serious balls.

He fought great competition in his career and rarely backed down from a challenge.

He started out at 157 opunds and is fighting in his late 30's big heavyweights. Who else has done that? Let's give some credit where credit is due.

Chris Byrd, and unlike Toney, he put his money where his mouth was and fought both Klitschko's, in addition to Ibeabuchi, Tua and McCline, none of which Toney had to deal with.

NO WAY Toney beats Wlad.... Maybe he beats Valuev but no way he beats either Klitschko.

I dont see Toney getting many shots at a HW belt in 09

    Wlad will face guys like:
Arreola, Valuev, Povetkin, Haye, Dimi (sp?)

    Vitali:
    Gomez, Haye...then prob retire

    Valuev;
    Chagaev, Wlad, maybe holly(rematch)

    Chagaev:
    Valuev, Wlad

    where would Toney fit in?

Both Klitschko's knock Toney out cold and I assure you there is nothing I would like to see more than that. Why isn't this fight on yet?, Toney goes on every interview more overweight that previous ones insulting the living hell out of both Klitschkos, why didn't he help make the fight yet?

Better question is, why whenever either Klitschkos contacted him professionally about setting up a fight he ran off claiming he had 10 bucket of KFCs earlier and needs a few years?

Toney should just shut the **** up and pack his ass with roids, fight on ESPN and secure enough No Contests before he retires. RJJ beat Ruiz FAIRLY and captured a heavyweight title in ONE fight. Toney has accomplished nothing in the division and is just the division mascot till he goes away for good and I hope he takes fraud alien Valuev with him.

Now that the Rahamn fight is over..I can tell you that Wlad looked at fighting Toney before signing with Rahman. The Thought was that Toney would not be a draw in Germany. RTL was not happy with that name and I agree. Had the fight been in the states, that might have been different. For Wlad to pick Toney is a joke. Toney would be fine if the same situation came up as Povetkin/Rahamn...Toney to fill in for an injured fighter.
Wlad would be ripped on this board for fighting JT. It would prove NOTHING....imo

Wladimir doesn't need Toney, anyone in the division right now is a great opponent compared to Toney.

Toney was offered a fight twice by Wlad and both times JT said Not enough $$$. I believe the offers were 1.5 mil and 2 mil

    Absolutely, ridicoulous.

First of all, Toney started out at 157 and started to fight big heavyweight in his mid 30's and now 40's. At which weight did Byrd started his professional career? At which age did he start to fight heavyweights? Where is Byrd now and he is even younger?

Then, Toney fought big punchers too in Rahman and Peter.Did Byrd fight them? In addition ,Toney wanted to fight McCline and got injured.
