I do. Ricky will be staring at the ceiling lights and Manny will be standing - arms raised - on the turnbuckle.

hatton is stronger....but his propensity to cut will be his downfall; Manny's sharp, fast punches will mark up Hatton badly. I say he gets stopped on cuts before he can be K.O'd, thus saving him for another day and retaining some sense of pride, even if it's clear that he would've been stopped.

But who knows? Mijares was 'definitely' going to beat Darchinyan, and Pavlik was 'expected' to have a decent enough workrate to get a PTS win over B-Hop. Nothing in boxing is secure when you have two Elite level fighters with something left in the tank going at it.

But I expect Pacman to win.

    That confident eh?

I've very, very seldom thought of Manny as the favorite, in nearly all of the fights I've seen him in since the 90's. In every weightclass he's been through.

I've predicted 50-50 at best, for some of those fights.

That's natural, to not feel confident about your favourite fighter or team or whatever. I'm the same, generally. But in this case I just don't see Hatton winning. I was so confident, even at that late stage of his career, that Morales couldn't be KO'd by Pac. You can't brawl with Manny, and if you box, you'd better do it ****ing well. Hatton is going to get laid out.

The Kostya vs Hatton fight seems to be like a good blueprint to wear down Pac, though.

If Ricky can cut off the ring and trap him.

Yeah but they are two very different fighters. Kostya relied on accuracy and precision punching, taking his time. Manny relies far more on speed and flurries (powerful flurries though), and moves in and out rather than stalking. We've all seen how much he's improved his defense, he is extremely evasive. Hatton won't find him much. His only chance is to score a bodyshot KO in my opinion, because I am slightly skeptical about Manny taking bodyshots from a bigger fighter. If he can take them, it's game over for Ricky.

And there won't be a biased home-town ref to let Hatton cheat. :yep

Manny was never a physically bullstrong fighter in the ring. Most of the opponents who tried to overpower him through clinching and wrestling usually succeded.

Pac's not a very good in-fighter or "dirty" fighter.

The only way he can get back on his opponent's rough house tactics is through pure fistfighting.

Yeah you're right. But unlike Kostya, Pac won't let Hatton close the distance so easily to nullify his power. Ricky will get peppered coming in, and I don't think he'll last more than 8 or 9 rounds. It will be interesting to see how it goes, and it will be an explosive fight no doubt, but I only see it ending two ways, and (Pac KO or Hatton bodyshot KO), and the latter is probably a 10% chance in my mind.

Some of those stats are totally irrelevant to how the fight will go.I give Hatton the edge he has greater natural strength IMO.This fight should be awesome!!

hatton is stronger while pac is faster.

btw, hatton has a larger waist, but pac has the advantage? maybe just an error :huh
