I know you guys are not that much into amateur boxing, but im from cuba and its a big deal there so I gotta pay respect to one of the most if not the best amateur career ever.

i remember a source from a rival website saying he KO'd Lennox Lewis in a sparring session

almost everybody who got in there with him got KO'd so yeah.

 

I would love to see him get hit on his Chin without the head gear on.

He would probably end up like Jorge Luis Gonzalez and all the other Glass Jawed Cuban fighters.

HW has a diluted talent pool (more than in the pros even since amateur nations like Cuba are better at lower weights) and he is a pro fighting amateur.

Joan Guzman's record is far more impressive.

 

his amatuer credentials are outstanding.

3 gold medals in olymoics and about 5 world champs.

on top of that staying number 1 pick for cuba is an acheivement as well

 

who was that amateur that had over 400+ wins.

 

No disrespect to Savon but he was a man amongst boys in some of his Olympic wins. He was a seasoned amateur vet facing young 19/20 year olds who would then turn pro.

Thats right, I got a lot of respect for Chagaev's for that.
