ya.. sides marg doesnt like fighting at 154 right, because he cant impose himself as much there. I also thought a Karmazin/margo fight would be good

Why should he fight @ 154? :huh Money's at WW, and he makes 147 easily.

Well he was more than ready for DLH at 154. WTF!!?!

 Margo wont be leaving 147 any time soon.

Not until he can't make 147. Which is perfectly fine keeping the division stacked.

Bennyj: Margarito sometimes uses Angulo for sparring so I doubt that fight would come off because Angulo's camp knows the outcome lol.

Let Angulo establish himself first, he still has to get through mayorga which I doubt he will do if Mayorga comes into the fight well prepared and ready to fight.

It would be a good fight but the fight between Margarito and Angulo really wouldn't make much sense considering Margarito is in the process of trying to clear out the division he is already in.

Come on Scar, they were not the best.
They were an example of how title lineage often distorts the sport.
He became 'champ' at 147 very much on the cheap. That was pure opportunism.
You think he would have gone up for the WW belt if Williams Or Margarito held the linear title after Ko'ing Judah?(and either man would have brutalised him with little effort)...i dont.

Scar how can you say that those guys are the best at 147, come on fam.

Floyd Mayweather himself said he is all about making SMART BUSINESS DECISIONS, which can be seen as Low Risk, High Reward, he is not going to and never has been out to fight the best, he is only in it for the money so you cant even tell me that these guys were the best at 147 because even Mayweather knew they were not the best, they were the easiest options to make money without taking unecessary risk and also Baldomir had a title which Floyd wanted and he didn't even have to break a sweat to win that fight, it was easy work as he would say...

Straight From the horses mouth, watch this and cry yourself to sleep...

The worst **** that was ever put into boxing fans' minds is : " What has this or that fighter accomplished yet to fight me ? "

How the **** do you guys think legacies from the past were accomplished ? Certainly not by picking left and right who deserves to fight who....

The best should always fight the best available to keep proving they are the best...That's what it's all about from a boxing but not financial perspective !

Name recognition means **** all when we're talking about talent and potential great matchups !! Everyone needed to get a first shot at a great fighter some day to get recognition anyways !

Some fighters are made to be stars while others will unfortunately always need to prove much more than they should because they are not the chosen ones...

So let me get this straight, you take it that it was an insult DLH and Mosley unified then Mosley lost to Forrest, Forrest lost to Mayorga, Mayorga lost to Spinks, Spinks lost to Judah and Judah losing to Baldomir DOESN'T COUNT all of a sudden because Baldomir hasn't bee promoted enough and hyped as "the most fear mammoth of a beast"?

This isn't a popularity contest and if it counted for the likes of Forrest and Mosley then it does count for whoever earns his spot to fight for it and win it. If Margarito wanted it badly he could have dropped his WBOgus title and climbed in the rankings, that's how Baldomir became #1 contender to the WBC, right?

Fighting complete bums like Manuel Gomez on failing PPVs, Cintron, Lujan, Hercules and Andrew "Six heads zero chins" Lewis doesn't earn him a shot for ****.

You can consider it cheap all you want, when it comes down to reality you know very well that the REAL cheap champion at the time when Judah held all the belts and guys before him was Margarito. When there is a unified champion and recognized #1 all the rest were paper champions, remember?

I mean, you guys stuck up to that SO much when Mayweather won the title from Gatti, claiming it was paper but when he does it to Baldomir he's a fake and should have fought Margarito, who's biggest win at the time was Manuel Gomez and Kermit Cintron.

    Yeah, makes sense alright.

It counts but unless you're Stevie Wonder, you know very well that Baldomir is a Cinderella story whom doesn't and never belonged amongst the elite of his division ! He lacks almost everything a champ needs to continue competing at a high level...Good fighters can sometimes get beaten by subpar competition when they are not focused... BUSTER DOUGLAS-MIKE TYSON ring a bell ?

Not really he is doing the what makes business sense o a better name to say the welterweight dvision needs is Paul Williams the guy who beat Margarito and is actually so willing to fight anyone he competes in three weight classes.
