I guess fighting G.Hernandez in only his 18th fight wasn't a risk, fighting a P4P KO artist in Chico wasn't a risk, moving up to 135 to take on JLC 2x wasn't a risk, moving up to 140 wasn't a risk, moving up to 147 and winning the linear title wasn't a risk, moving up to 154 at a weight he had no business at fighting on Oscar's terms was no risk. PBF has been taking risks his whole career. I'll tell you someone who doesn't take risks and it starts with your boy Margo who moved up to 154 got his ass kicked and moved back down to take on smaller men at 147 and doesn't avenge the loss. A guy who gets beat at his own game by a green Williams and is offered a career high payday for revenge is a guy who doesn't take risks. Rematching a smaller guy who you made quit in the ring is a guy who doesn't take risks.

Your arguement that PBF doesn't take risks is one of the worst I've seen yet. Tell Margo or Cotto these so called risk takers to move up 5 weight classes win belts in each go linear in 3 and remain undefeated while doing so until then your statement about PBF taking no risks is meaningless.

 

Don't forget that when Santos told him to move up and avenge his loss he told Santos to move down, yet when DLH hints that he might consider him Margarito begins hiring nutritionists to help him make 154.

Exactly! Margo wanted Oscar as well but no one bashes him for it. He siad he would go up to 154 to fight OScar but is too much of a ***** to go up there and face his daddy Santos. This fact keeps Margo fans up at night.

 

Mayweather is a HBO Brand Fighter he is marketable people know who he is due to mainstream Tv and being on this show and that show, he is a face out there, Margarito is less marketable, he does not speak english and we all know the ones who speak a bit of English are more marketable, there is a lot of variables to why someone gets more airtime than another, look at Hatton, even if Hatton lost he would still fill out a 100,000 seater stadium, because the people like him, people watch what they want to watch, I choose to like watching Margarito because I like the fact that he can break his opponents down and I just like his warrior like spirit and to me he is the epitomy of a true warrior.

Mayweather on the other hand acts like a dickhead but he is a talent in the sport so I like watching him but it doesn't change the fact that he is a dick.

I truly believe that Margarito is like Floyds nemesis, like Hagler was to Hearns or Gatti was to Ward, without an arch rival or nemesis at any stage of a fighters career then you could easily just say that Mayweather never really was pushed or in the ring with a man who pushed him to the limit to the point where he had to bring out his A game.

On numerous occasions he has said that he did not even need to bring out his A game or that it was easy work. Of course it would be easy work because those fighters he hand picks are supposed to be.

 

Basically, Manny Pacquiao went from 106(96) to 147lbs. Floyd went from 131lbs to 154(Oscar is not even a true LMW, he's a WW)

And comparing their best wins is not even fair game, Pacquiao dwarfs him with relative ease.
