It's true. they're fighting at different sites but it's just one PPV purchase. HBO wanted better opposition but Arum the ******* that he is wouldn't budge. I"m not even buying that crap.

this is ridiculous.. no way im dishin out the money for this one.. the KP and Rubio fight would be a great primetime HBO headliner, but not a PPV card, im sorry.

    It is true....

I was also just now reading in the El Nuevo Dia an article on Cotto regarding his training and the adjustments being made which are
    leg stregth and torso conditioning.
According to Cotto and his uncle all is going well and on track smoothly...
he also said they are taking Jennings very serious and that Cotto is more
    motivated now than ever...
Also, if an opportunity comes up to hit him below then they will take it.

Old Cotto is back....thats what I want to see!!!

And you would be the first on Arum's ass if Kelly lost a belt because he didn't fight his mandatory. And, Cotto is for a belt. HBO runs too much of boxing as it is.

If he wants to televise his guys fights, this is the only way for Arum to do it. Neither HBO nor Showtime wanted them so it's up to Arum to do it himself. Neither fight is major, so if you skip out (I most likley am), it's nothing to worry about by missing.

This is what real promoters do guys. Get their fighters fights and televise them for their fans.

OK. But as crooked as Don King might be, he too is a true Promoter. He doesn't sit and wait for HBO to do all the work. I know everyone hates King and Arum, but at least they've given us some of th3 biggest fights ever.

Golden Boy seems to be fine with stealing already established fighters and using their HBO connection to lure them fights.
